The original description merges “UF-603” and “30520-RN0-A01” into one number. They are separate interchange references, not one impressively long Honda part number.

Important Spark-Plug Correction

NGK 97390/LKR7BGP-S is a G-Power platinum spark plug, not an iridium plug.

The corrected product title should be:

BDFHYK UF603 Ignition Coils and 97390 Platinum Spark Plugs for Honda and Acura V6

Do not use “iridium” in the product description unless the plugs supplied with the kit have a different verified part number.

Platinum plugs may provide dependable performance, but they should not automatically be described as equivalent to Honda’s original long-life dual-precious-metal plugs. Verify the specified plug type and replacement interval for the exact vehicle.

Symptoms This Kit May Correct

Properly matched coils and plugs may help address:

  • Rough or shaking idle
  • Hesitation under acceleration
  • Difficult starting
  • Reduced engine power
  • P0300 random or multiple-cylinder misfire
  • P0301 through P0306 cylinder-specific misfires
  • Ignition-coil circuit trouble codes
  • Flashing check-engine light
  • Fuel odor caused by incomplete combustion

Use our guide to bad ignition-coil symptoms to determine whether the coils are actually responsible.

Our engine-misfire diagnostic guide also covers injectors, intake leaks, compression problems and other faults capable of impersonating bad ignition parts.

Will It Make the Engine “Like New”?

New plugs and coils can restore performance lost to worn electrodes or failing ignition components. They cannot reverse low compression, damaged piston rings, worn camshafts, injector problems or other mechanical faults.

Remove claims that the engine will accelerate “as powerful as a new car.” Fresh coils are useful; they are not a time machine.

The suggested 80,000-kilometer replacement point—approximately 50,000 miles—should also not be treated as a universal coil-replacement interval. Spark plugs are scheduled maintenance items, but ignition coils are normally replaced when testing shows that they have failed or deteriorated.

Installation Notes

  1. Confirm the VIN, engine size and original part numbers.
  2. Allow the engine to cool completely.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4. Remove engine covers and intake components as required.
  5. Release each coil connector without pulling on its wiring.
  6. Clean debris from around the spark-plug wells.
  7. Inspect each well for oil, coolant or water.
  8. Compare plug thread, reach, seat and heat range.
  9. Check the required spark-plug gap.
  10. Start each plug by hand to avoid cross-threading.
  11. Tighten the plugs and coil fasteners to Honda’s specifications.
  12. Reassemble the intake system and check for vacuum leaks.
  13. Clear stored codes and verify that the misfire is gone.

Rear-bank access varies by model and may require removal of intake components. Replace disturbed seals or gaskets when required by the service procedure.

NGK warns that spark plugs must be installed using the specified torque or turning angle. Review its proper spark-plug installation procedure before beginning.
