Spark-Plug Construction Correction
NGK 9029/DILKAR6A11 is generally marketed as a Laser Iridium plug. It uses an iridium center electrode and a precious-metal ground electrode designed for OE-style durability.
It should not be called a “double-iridium” plug unless the actual supplied plug has iridium on both electrodes and the manufacturer provides documentation confirming that construction.
Use this wording instead:
Includes four 9029-style Laser Iridium spark plugs engineered for stable ignition and extended service life in compatible applications.

Symptoms This Kit May Correct
Correctly matched ignition components may help correct:
- Rough or unstable idle
- Hesitation during acceleration
- Hard starting
- Reduced engine power
- P0300 random or multiple-cylinder misfire
- P0301 through P0304 cylinder-specific misfires
- Ignition-coil circuit codes
- Flashing check-engine light
- Fuel-economy loss caused by an active misfire
Review our guide to bad ignition-coil symptoms before replacing parts.
A misfire may also come from an injector, intake leak, damaged wiring or low compression. Our engine-misfire diagnostic guide explains how to narrow down the actual fault.
Installation Notes
- Confirm the year, model, engine and market.
- Match the original coil and spark-plug numbers.
- Allow the engine to cool completely.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover where fitted.
- Release each coil connector carefully.
- Clean debris from around the plug wells.
- Inspect the wells for oil or moisture.
- Compare the new plugs with the originals.
- Verify the specified gap.
- Start every plug by hand.
- Tighten plugs and coil fasteners to factory specifications.
- Clear stored codes and verify the repair.
Even pre-gapped plugs should be inspected before installation. Check the gap without placing force against the fine center electrode.
Longevity and Performance Claims
The advertised 100,000-kilometer service life is approximately 62,000 miles. Actual service life depends on the plug construction, engine condition, operating environment and manufacturer’s maintenance schedule.
New coils and plugs can restore performance lost through worn or failed components. They do not guarantee additional horsepower, improved fuel economy or better cold starting on an engine whose original ignition system is already working properly.

That title accurately describes the package without pretending four coils complete a V8 tune-up. Mathematics wins another round.
