Five-Layer Silicone Construction
The factory C5 hoses are molded rubber components exposed to years of heat, pressure and coolant contamination. As they age, they can harden, swell, crack or become soft enough to deform.
Mishimoto constructs these replacement hoses using five layers of silicone with embedded heat-resistant fibers. This reinforced design helps the hoses maintain their shape as cooling-system pressure and temperature change.
The bright red finish also gives the engine compartment a more aggressive appearance without adding chrome covers to everything in sight—which is always a victory.
Why Replace Aging C5 Corvette Radiator Hoses?
A radiator hose can appear normal from above while deteriorating around the underside, connection bead or internal liner. Failure can release coolant quickly and leave the engine without adequate cooling.

Can This Hose Kit Prevent Overheating?
