This kit fits the AJ126 3.0L supercharged gasoline V6.
It does not fit:
- Naturally aspirated engines
- Turbocharged Ingenium engines
- Diesel engines
- 5.0L supercharged V8 engines

Confirm the engine, VIN and original part number before ordering. “It says supercharged on the tailgate” narrows the search, but it does not complete it.

What Does the Supercharger Snout Do?
The snout transfers crankshaft power from the accessory belt and pulley into the supercharger’s internal drive system. It contains bearings and drive components that must operate smoothly at high speed.
A worn snout can create:
- Rattling from the front of the supercharger
- Grinding or growling noises
- Pulley wobble
- Bearing noise that changes with engine speed
- Drive-belt vibration
- Inconsistent supercharger operation
- Metallic knocking at idle
- Play in the pulley or input shaft
These symptoms must be isolated before ordering. Belt tensioners, idler pulleys, water pumps and other accessories can produce similar noises.
Snout Kit Versus Complete Supercharger
This kit repairs the front drive assembly. It does not replace:
- Supercharger rotors
- Rotor bearings
- Supercharger housing
- Intake manifold
- Internal intercooler cores
- Bypass actuator
- Damaged rotor coating
- Cracked or distorted supercharger components
If the rotors contact the housing, the internal bearings have failed or metallic debris is present, the complete supercharger may require professional rebuilding or replacement.
A new snout cannot rescue damaged rotors any more than a new doorknob can repair the room behind it.
Common Reasons for Snout Failure
Premature wear may be associated with:

- Relieve belt tension and remove the supercharger belt.
- Inspect the belt, tensioner and idlers.
- Disconnect components required for access.
- Remove the original snout evenly.
- Inspect the supercharger drive and mating surfaces.
- Remove all old gasket or sealant material.
- Install the replacement snout using the specified sealant.
- Tighten the bolts in sequence to JLR specifications.
- Rotate the assembly by hand before installing the belt.
- Start the engine and check for noise, wobble or leaks.

Does This Kit Add Horsepower?
No. This kit uses a factory-style pulley and is intended to restore normal supercharger operation.
It does not:
- Increase boost
- Change pulley ratio
- Recalibrate the ECU
- Increase fuel-system capacity
- Guarantee additional horsepower
A smaller performance pulley would require an appropriate tune and supporting modifications. This product is a repair component, not a stealth pulley upgrade.
