Built-In RGB LED Lighting with Wireless Remote Control
One of the standout features of the Kenwood KFC-1673MRBL marine speaker system is its integrated RGB illumination.
Red, green, and blue LEDs positioned behind each tweeter housing illuminate the woofer cone, creating a colorful lighting effect without requiring separate decorative speaker rings.
Unlike marine speakers with limited lighting options, Kenwood gives you extensive control over the appearance of your installation.
RGB lighting features include:
- 20 selectable illumination colors
- Eight lighting patterns
- Eight adjustable lighting speeds
- Integrated LEDs behind the tweeter housings
- Included wireless remote control
- Illuminated woofer cones for a distinctive nighttime appearance
Choose a subtle color for relaxed evening cruising or switch to dynamic lighting effects when entertaining friends.
The included wireless remote makes adjustments convenient, allowing you to change the lighting without manually accessing the speakers.
Marine-Ready Construction Built to Handle the Elements
Marine audio equipment must withstand environmental conditions that can quickly damage conventional automotive speakers.
Moisture, salt exposure, direct sunlight, and fluctuating temperatures can degrade speaker materials, corrode hardware, and shorten component life.
Kenwood addresses these concerns through a combination of protective materials and thoughtful engineering.
Durability features include:
- UV-resistant speaker grilles: Help resist deterioration caused by prolonged sunlight exposure.
- Water-resistant polypropylene woofers: Provide moisture resistance while maintaining dependable acoustic performance.
- Composite speaker baskets: Help reduce corrosion concerns associated with exposed metal components.
- Stainless steel mounting hardware: Offers improved resistance to rust and corrosion.
- Grille-mounted tweeters: Eliminate the need for a tweeter support pole passing through the center of the woofer cone.
The grille-mounted tweeter design is particularly useful in marine environments. By avoiding a conventional pole-mounted tweeter arrangement, Kenwood reduces a potential pathway for water intrusion through the woofer assembly.
Although these speakers are engineered for marine environments, water-resistant construction should not be confused with unlimited waterproof protection. Proper installation and protection from unnecessary submersion remain important.
Ideal Applications for Kenwood 6.75-Inch Marine Speakers
The Kenwood KFC-1673MRBL offers flexibility for a variety of outdoor entertainment systems.
Popular applications include:
- Boats and recreational watercraft
- Marine entertainment systems

- Custom automotive installations with suitable mounting dimensions
These speakers can also appeal to enthusiasts building custom audio systems where moisture resistance and decorative illumination are priorities.
Before purchasing, verify speaker mounting depth, cutout diameter, available wiring, and amplifier compatibility.
Why Choose Kenwood KFC-1673MRBL Marine Speakers?
There are plenty of inexpensive marine speakers available, but choosing the right equipment involves more than finding something that fits into a mounting hole.
The Kenwood KFC-1673MRBL combines three features that matter for recreational audio: dependable sound reproduction, marine-focused durability, and customizable illumination.
Its polypropylene woofer and balanced dome tweeter provide a practical foundation for outdoor listening, while the UV-resistant grille and corrosion-resistant mounting materials help protect your investment.
Meanwhile, the integrated RGB system adds visual customization without requiring separate LED speaker rings.
For boat owners and outdoor audio enthusiasts looking to improve both the sound and appearance of their entertainment systems, these Kenwood speakers offer an attractive upgrade.
