Sequential Turn Signals
The integrated amber turn signals illuminate progressively in the direction of the intended turn. This creates a modern appearance while making the signal’s purpose easy for surrounding drivers to recognize.
Sequential operation may depend on the vehicle’s factory configuration, supplied modules and wiring. Confirm whether the feature works through the original connector or requires an included adapter harness.
Dynamic Startup Animation
When the vehicle is unlocked or started, the assemblies perform a brief lighting sequence across the DRL and projector elements. Once the animation finishes, the lamps return to their normal operating mode.
This is a styling feature, not a substitute for confirming that every required lighting function operates correctly. Test the following after installation:
- Low beams
- High beams
- Daytime running lights
- Left and right turn signals
- Hazard lights
- Parking lights
- Automatic-headlight operation
- Intelligent High Beam operation, if equipped
Integrated Daytime Running Lights
The bright LED DRL follows the modern L-shaped signature used on the refreshed IS. Lexus introduced this slender headlight design for 2021, with the DRL extending laterally above the compact lamp units.
The integrated amber reflector adds side visibility, but its presence alone does not establish DOT or FMVSS compliance. The delivered assemblies should carry the required markings and supporting compliance documentation before they are advertised as approved for public-road use.
Critical Fitment Check: Standard LED vs Triple-Beam
The 2021–2025 IS was available with different factory headlight configurations. Lexus confirms that triple-beam LED headlights were optional on multiple IS300 and IS350 models, while certain IS500 packages also included them.

Installation Overview
Installation is intended to use factory mounting locations and connectors, but front-bumper removal may be required.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the necessary upper covers and bumper fasteners.
- Carefully release the front bumper cover.
- Disconnect the original headlight connectors.
- Remove the factory mounting bolts and assemblies.
- Transfer any required modules, brackets or hardware.
- Connect the replacement assemblies temporarily.
- Test every lighting function before reinstalling the bumper.
- Align the housings with the hood, fenders and bumper.
- Tighten the mounting hardware evenly.
- Reinstall the bumper and trim.
- Aim both headlights.
“Plug and play” describes the electrical connection when everything matches. It does not mean the bumper politely removes itself while you make coffee.
Headlight Aiming Is Required
Even a vehicle-specific assembly should be checked after installation. A beam aimed too high creates glare, while one aimed too low wastes the projector’s usable range.

Weather-Resistant Construction
The housings are described as sealed against rain and road grime, with internal heat-dissipation provisions for the LED components. After installation, check that:
- Every rear cover is secured
- Connector seals are seated
- Housing vents remain unobstructed
- Mounting tabs are not under stress
- No moisture develops after washing or rain
Minor temporary fogging can occur with temperature changes, but standing water or persistent condensation indicates a sealing or ventilation problem.
Road-Use and Compliance Notice
No manufacturer name, model number, DOT marking or certification documentation was supplied with the submitted description. Do not advertise these assemblies as DOT, SAE or FMVSS compliant until the exact delivered product and its compliance markings have been verified.
The amber reflector, focused beam claim and factory-style appearance do not independently prove regulatory compliance. Styling is not certification, although online listings occasionally treat the two like close cousins.
