Required Factory Features

The original mirrors should match this configuration:

These are not power-folding mirrors. The word “power” refers only to adjustment of the glass. The housings remain fixed—because a 2003 Civic LX was refreshingly unconcerned with turning every simple component into a networked appliance.

Complete Two-Mirror Set

The package includes:

• One left driver-side mirror assembly
• One right passenger-side mirror assembly

Replacing both sides together provides matching finish, glass condition, and adjustment performance.

Power-Adjustable Glass

Once connected to the factory wiring, both mirrors can be adjusted using the original interior mirror switch. This restores normal horizontal and vertical glass movement without requiring the driver to reach across the cabin and negotiate with the passenger-side mirror manually.

The vehicle must already have compatible power-mirror wiring and controls. Installing these assemblies will not convert a manual-mirror Civic to power operation without additional wiring, switches, and electrical work.

Textured-Black Finish

The housings use a textured-black exterior finish intended to resemble the original LX sedan mirrors. No immediate painting is required.

The textured finish is practical for daily-driven Civics because it hides minor scratches and weathering better than glossy paint. That matters on mirrors, which apparently exist partly to attract garage walls and shopping carts.

Direct-Fit Installation

These mirrors are designed to use the factory mounting points and electrical connections. Installation typically requires partial or complete removal of the interior door panel.

Installation Overview

1. Lower the window and switch off the ignition.
2. Remove the interior sail panel near the mirror.
3. Remove the necessary door-panel fasteners.
4. Disconnect the factory mirror connector.
5. Support the original mirror from outside.
6. Remove the mirror mounting nuts.
7. Lift the original assembly away from the door.
8. Compare the mounting base and connector.
9. Install the PM Auto replacement.
10. Tighten the mounting hardware evenly.
11. Reconnect the factory wiring.
12. Reinstall the door trim.
13. Test horizontal and vertical adjustment.

Do not overtighten the mounting nuts. The mirror needs to remain secure without crushing or cracking the mounting base.

Reference and Interchange Numbers

Honda identifies 76250-S5D-A11 as the left driver-side power mirror for the 2001–2005 Civic sedan. The corresponding right-side assembly is 76200-S5D-A11.

The PartsLink references HO1320141 and HO1321141 are commonly sold together as a power, non-heated mirror set for the Civic sedan.

Interchange numbers are provided for comparison. Always verify the mounting base, electrical connector, housing finish, and factory functions before purchase.

Why Replace the Complete Assembly?

A complete replacement is appropriate when the original mirror has:

• Cracked or missing glass
• A failed adjustment motor
• A damaged electrical connector
• A cracked housing
• Broken mounting studs
• Excessive vibration
• Collision or parking-lot damage
• Severe fading or weathering

If the housing and motor still work correctly, glass-only replacement may be less expensive. A complete assembly is the better repair when damage extends beyond the reflective glass.
