I bought this alternator for my husbands car and it has been a life saver, we hit a dnag with the first one but the process to get a replacement was easy. When arrived it was very easy for my husband to install and quick, good quality and serves it purpose. Thank god it was not expensive. It fit perfectly and we havent have any more issues after it was installed and is mind you is been a few months since it was installed so im certain it will last quite long. No weird noises at all. I bought this alternator in November 2024 and installed it in my vehicle at the end of April 2025. I had kept it as a spare to replace the old one, since it had been giving me problems. My old alternator failed in April, but I wasn’t worried because I already had the new one ready to install. It had been stored in its original box and packaging just as it was shipped to me, and I kept it in a dry place away from heat and moisture, under my computer desk.The same day I installed it, I also bought a brand-new battery from O’Reilly and an original serpentine belt for my vehicle’s brand. To my surprise, the alternator didn’t work, it completely drained the new battery, and I had to go back to O’Reilly to get it replaced. I then bought a new alternator from O’Reilly, and it worked perfectly.I took the alternator I bought from Amazon to O’Reilly to get it tested, and they told me it wasn’t working, it was defective from the factory. I need you to resolve this issue and give me a refund, because it’s not fair that the alternator turned out to be defective.
