Legal Disclaimer
It is ultimately the buyer’s responsibility to have all bolts/nuts checked for tightness after the first 500 miles, and then again every 1,000 miles. Wheel alignment, steering system, suspension, and driveline systems must be inspected by a qualified, professional mechanic at least every 3,000 miles.
Final Verdict
The Rough Country 23158_A N3 Rear Shocks are a solid, budget-conscious option for 1999–2006 Silverado and Sierra 1500 trucks running a 2.5–6” lift. Durable, extended-length, and designed for lifted suspension geometry.
Because stock shocks and lifted trucks don’t belong in the same sentence.

EASY EASY EASY install. 2 bolts a piece. Started on the top bolts to install on mine. Just let them extend themselves and line up the holes and torque the nuts, and you’re done. Don’t even have to jack up the vehicle to install. Rides fairly nice. I expected a little bounce to them, but great quality for the price. And very easy to install. Took less than 20 minutes.

After about 1 year and 10k miles the truck seems super bouncy like the shocks have failed.
