All the brands to choose from and I just bought a budget friendly option and to be honest this little setup here has been amazing I have had no issues and the 12″ sub sounds great and knocks.

Please excuse the mess. I have it hooked up, but I’m still working on my mounting platform. I’m going to use a nice piece of wood wrapped In tweed to mount the sub and amp to then I’m going to chop the spare tire cover in half and put hinges so I don’t have to move anything if I ever need to get in there….Anyways, I’ve had this set up installed for a few days, and let me tell you… the sound on this is amazing, it’s crisp, smooth, and has amazing deep bass, the mid and high bass notes hit really smooth as well. And the lows even with the bass only turned to about 25% (due to breaking it in) rattle the mirrors, and I can feel it in my back. It’s nice after a long days work. Kind of like a little back massage. Based on what I’ve heard so far I can tell that when I do the final tune and turn the amp up it’s gonna be a system that I can feel in my chest and be really proud of. So far I have it on a really modest and lazy tune that I took about 3 minutes to do. So after I break the sub in and make sure that I won’t blow it up trying to push it, I’m going to tune it perfectly (which anyone can do.. if you’re not sure how definitely look up forums and videos to show you how. A good tune and a grasp on how sub and amp set up work is the difference between a physically wonderful sound that you’re really happy with and a crappy distorted mess of a system that you’re likely going to blow especially if you just crank the input all the way up on the amp right out of the box.) Even if you turn the input up to a conservative level, keep your bass knob turned down as well. Otherwise you will probably blow your sub and if not you’ll greatly reduce the life of it.This kit came with everything needed to do a professional install and have professional sound. I got this installed in a little over an hour (hence the crazy looking current set up… but that will be changed here shortly) just make sure you run your power and RCA cables opposite of each other through the car, and for your ground make sure to take any paint or contamination away from the area you choose.I’ve read amazing reviews about this product and a lot of negative ones… I have nothing negative to report. The DB11 amp even comes with a testing certificate with the serial number of the amp proving it outputs the power it’s rated for and that the product works out of the box. Just take your time installing and make sure to tune the amp once it’s installed and I promise you’ll have an amazing sounding set up that you can enjoy and be proud of for a long time to come. I’m very excited to get it broken in and really enjoy all the benefits of an added sub to my sound system. If you’re on the fence about it I highly recommend you spend the little bit of money and get yourself the kit. No matter what size set up you’re looking for. I got the k5 12″ and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be getting another one for my mini cooper next.

Pretty good for the price considering it comes with everything to hook up and shipped to my door step all brand new. Sounds pretty good for a beginner set-up. I’d be disappointed if I put it in the trunk though, wouldn’t be able to hear/feel it as good. Strange burning smell in beginning while it’s being used but smell has gone away after about a week worth of daily jam sessions.

Exceeded my expectations. I love bass but I’m not wanting to go deaf or be heard down the street. You can’t go wrong with this setup. I got the single 12 inch with enclosure and amp and great choice over the 2 8s I was considering. I have to leave the bass on about 60% so it doesn’t overpower my factory speakers and so it isn’t an excessive amount of bass. I took it to my local shop and they installed it with no problems. I love the bass adjustment switch. The overall quality and low end mid range bass sound really has pleased me. No regrets at all. You can crank this up too and shake your mirrors if you want.

I hooked the subwoofer up in my trunk, amplifier under my seat. Didn’t use any of the wiring or hardware it came with, my car was already wired with solid stuff. Comes completely untuned. Once adjusted this thing blew me away. Very deep and loud subwoofer and I only have it about halfway turned up. Using it for 30 minutes straight, radio almost all the way up and amplifier is still cool to the touch. Hasn’t gotten warm at all. I’m gonna give it a week or so to get comfy until I turn it up even more. Was looking for something loud that would shake my car, have had subs before that did and I’ve had subs and amps that were horrible. They get hot, sound horrible, can’t get good bass out of it no matter what you do. I’m very impressed with this set up. The Db11 amp and single Sk512. Louder than anything that’s been in this car, especially for the price. Don’t even bother with skar.

I got the whole set up professionally installed and tuned. Amp was set to half input for a couple weeks to break the sub in. I went back in after the sub was broken in and had the amp set to max input. Sub hit hard at half power, enough to rattle my license plate and mirrors and sounded great, hit even harder at full power but quality wasn’t as great. After an hour of driving with the amp maxed out it just stopped working. Still lit up like it should be while powered on and green light is still on but I’m pretty sure it’s suck in protect mode. Turned input down to half and then a quarter, turned the amp off from head unit and then back on, shut my vehicle off and then back on, allowed the amp to cool down and rest for a day but it’s still not working. I have an appointment to have the installer check it but until then he suggested ordering a new amp just in case. He also noted that the wires provided were too thin to be running that kind of power and that might be the cause.Update: after taking it to the professional to figure out what was wrong… the amp surged and totally blew, blowing the subwoofer while doing so. The only thing that was able to be saved was the wires and sub enclosure. The speaker and amp were totally done for. I didn’t even get to use it a month. Do NOT buy this. You will regret it. I literally had to buy a new amp (made by skar) and bought a new sub (kicker). I had the new sub put in the Rockville enclosure and amp installed using the same wires. It hits harder than ever and I’ve been jamming out to my most bassy songs for nearly 3 months now!

I installed in under an hour I also think it thumps pretty hard especially if u set amp up to the 50hz tune of the box only complaint I have is the smell man it’s stinky but smells like mdf and glue ..10/16 well the amp blew and blew this sub and another its a good deal still if I get a replacement under warranty will keep this updated
