I already had wires run from my previous set up, so I ignored all the ones that were sent with it. I can’t comment on them, they’re in the garage somewhere lost to the world. The actual enclosure fits really snug behind my seats (silverado 03 single cab.) I put a small piece of cardboard under it to help steady it just in case. The sound quality is great, it looks good if you ever want to pull the seat down and show anyone, and it really packs a punch for what it is. I’ve gone through 2 other different products similar to this one and this is the first to work reliably, I even used the same exact wiring on the other two. Would definitely recommend for a daily driven truck to add some fun to your routine, but check your dimensions! I don’t know much about the area behind the seats on other trucks, but it was a really tight fit for my 03. It’s wired the same as most amplifiers and subs are unlike some kits like these. I have it working with a single DIN Pioneer head unit I picked up at a scrap yard. Good price, Good product.

I was skeptical about this sun at first but after I had it installed it blew me away for the price of this 2 in one package.If your looking to blow the doors off your car or rattle the neighbors house you’ll be very let down and might want to find something else.If your someone like me who was looking to add some crisp sound/bass to your music you’ll love this.I have it installed in my 2008 Nissan Altima 4 door sedan and it fill the cab amazingly.Big difference from no sub if you listen to rap,country,or party type songs.If your into rock/metal it won’t add to much bass.It’s still sounds a lot better than not having one since the stock door speakers can create the bass this sun can.I think If you have a smaller car or a single cab truck this would be more than enough for any type of music.If you have a bigger vehicle would would look for something else.I have had this sub in my trunk for 2 months now and I love the way it sound and would get another one tomorrow.Another thing is it takes up almost no space in the trunk leaving tons of room for what ever you need to lug around with you.For the price size and simplicity of this built in amp subwoofer it has great value for the money.It sound better than my Lincoln with the premium sound system in it.Hope this helps I tried to give the most honest review to help you make a decision.Cause when I was looking I scrolled through hundreds before I made a decision.

I originally bought this speaker from Amazon as the seller for $20 cheaper since it was “refurbished”. Well that was a mistake. I already had bad vibes as the original box was all beat up and the speaker box itself was covered in dog hair. I plugged it in and quickly noticed that the speaker was blown. I checked and tripped checked my wiring and messed around with some of the amp settings and nothing helped as it was obviously blown. Returned it and took a chance on a new one and boy was I not disappointed.I highly recommend getting a wiring kit to make your life easier. Just search – BOSS Audio Systems KIT2 on Amazon. The kit comes with all the wires you need and the quality and gauge is suitable for this speaker.The speaker box is solid and the embroidered logo is a nice touch even though I’ll hardly see it under my back seat. I like that the grill gives enough room for the speaker to move while still allowing it to be protected while cramped under the back seat as you can see in my video.The controls on the amp give you volume gain and frequency response adjustment. My only complaint is that I wish the gain on the box got cancelled out if you plugged in the volume remote knob. You have to adjust the gain on the box properly so that your remote has enough gain that it won’t overload your speaker and possibly blow it.The bass produced won’t win any competitions or annoy the neighboring car at the light but it does produce enough to feel punchy in rock music and rich and deep for hip hop. It definitely fills my truck cabin with all the bass I need making my rides more enjoyable.Now, the question is going to be how long will it last? I’ll update my review if I have any issues.

First off I would like to make it very clear. This item is not black! It’s actually grey. I was very disappointed to find out that they sent me something other than what I expected/PAID for. I purchased this item. Zoomed in to see color and quality. I liked what I saw so I purchased it. Received the item and had it professionally in stalled. Keep in mind I never opened the box when I handed it to installer who doesn’t sell this item. When I heard the sound it sounded like a new sub and it did give me a little extra bass which was desired. The first time I laid eyes on it I wasn’t happy. If I wanted grey I would have went ahead and purchased the kicker setup. This does not hit hard so please don’t get your hopes up. The item is well made but cosmetically the listed item is not accurate at all. Do not purchase this item expecting black carpet because it is Grey.The customer service contact has made me mad. Telling me to return the item as if it is a floor mat in the vehicle. I took pictures of my install and now you are telling me to remove the wires and return it. WTF?????????????? I will never purchase another item from this company. More bass than what I was expecting from a small sub/enclosure like this. It is not an SPL monster. If that is what you are looking for, you will need to look elsewhere. The sound is very clear and loud. I was looking for something to add more “thump” to my daily commute, and this fit the bill perfectly. I have lots of trunk space left and the bass is fantastic. The sound favors mid/high bass vs low frequencies, but that is to be expected in an enclosure this small. Overall, I am extremely happy with purchase.

Great little sub for extra bass
Easy to mount and provides good bass for music. I actually ended up having to turn off the factory stereo bass and dialled this back to half full to play modern music (dance/edm/rap) from my Android phone to BT adaptor.

This sub is a great option for a budget install in smaller vehicles. It doesn’t include a power wire or remote turn off wire and also lacks a ground wire but does include high level input wire for install through speakers. The quality seems high for the price and I’m pleased with its size and weight. Altogether not a bad sub.
