🔧 Why the Hyper-Street II Kit Converts Buyers

This kit gives you meaningful adjustability, not gimmicks.

Core Features That Sell:

  • Mono-tube shock design (faster response, better heat control)

  • 32-click rebound damping adjustment

  • Full-length height adjustment (no loss of shock travel)

  • Matched spring rates for 2011–14 S197 weight balance

  • Direct bolt-on front & rear replacement

  • Street-biased tuning with track capability

👉 Translation: you can dial it in for comfort, then stiffen it when the road (or your mood) changes.

📉 Lowering an S197 (The Smart Way)

Yes, it lowers the car. More importantly, it keeps suspension geometry usable.

Recommended ride heights:

  • 1.0–1.5 inches → Ideal daily + spirited street setup

  • 1.5–2.0 inches → Aggressive street / track stance

Go lower than that and you’ll introduce:

  • Reduced suspension travel

  • Increased bump steer

  • Harsh bottoming on real roads

Thanks to full-length adjustability, the Hyper-Street II maintains damper stroke even when lowered—something cheap kits fail at immediately.

🛣️ Ride Quality: 32 Clicks = Real Control

With 32 rebound settings, you’re not guessing.

  • Softer clicks → daily comfort, rough pavement tolerated

  • Mid-range → balanced street performance

  • Firmer clicks → sharp response, reduced body roll

Compared to stock suspension:

  • Less float at speed

  • Better bump control

  • Improved mid-corner stability

  • More confidence under braking

Firm when you want it. Civil when you need it.

🎯 Handling Improvements You’ll Actually Feel

Once installed and aligned:

  • Sharper turn-in

  • Reduced nose dive under braking

  • More predictable steering feedback

  • Increased grip and confidence

No, it won’t turn your Mustang into a GT3 car.
Yes, it will finally feel composed instead of floaty.

📐 Alignment (Mandatory, Not Optional)

Lowering an S197 always changes alignment geometry.

Strongly recommended:

  • Alignment at final ride height

  • Caster/camber plates (especially past ~1.25” drop)

  • Toe kept close to factory specs for street use

Bad alignment kills tires. Not the coilovers.

🛠️ Build Quality & Ownership Notes

  • Mono-tube dampers for consistent performance

  • Corrosion-resistant finishes

  • Designed for long-term street use

  • Periodic inspection recommended (like any adjustable suspension)

Install tip: Anti-seize the threads. Adjustable suspension that seizes later is just expensive garage décor.

Fits good! Everything went together we’ll. It’s kind of confusing figuring out what height you want but it’s nice to separately adjust ride height and dampening. Would definitely recommend this product if you’re over the fence and kind of scared cause it has no reviews. Only had it a few days but will update if any problems.

The front coilover broke at the top, causing my car to wreck and cause all damage. avoid these!

So I’ve had the coilovers installed for maybe 4 days and so far they’re pretty decent. Even in the hardest setting of the damper isn’t the worst feeling ever. I drive a 2019 mustang and I’m sitting about a coke can off the ground on these. They do seem to make a little noise and they settle but ill wait about another week on that.Only thing I did not like was the fact that they did not send the bottom hardware to bolt down the rear struts. I had to buy hardware for the rear. Some instructions wouldve been dope too. Oh and some instructions on the coils adjust would be great also. For the mustang the coils adjust at the spindle at spot that attaches to the hub in front so that means u cannot adjust the ride height of the without taking off the wheel and the entire front strut assembly. Definitely a pain when adjusting the front.

I purchased these for my 2006 GT. The installation was pretty straight forward. They have been on the car less than 8 months and less than 20 miles driven, the left rear shock has left a puddle of pretty blue oil under the car. Failed product, not happy…

So far fitment is on point. Adjustability is amazing, however my right rear shock adjustment knob is stuck in the hardest position (seems stripped as it just keeps freely spinning even after fully tightening the nut under the adjustment knob) and the included front sway bar end links keep coming loose so I’ll have to change those nuts out for a different type. Other then that it’s a very good set of coilovers for the price and the second set I’ve owned. I gave three stars because other then those two issues at this price point I’m not really mad plus I had ZERO issues with the last set I had on my is350 so I know the quality and reliability is there.

Had these installed professionally and this is the 3rd time that the right front sounds like it’s going to fall apart when you hit a bump. Car has never been in rain or snow and never made these noises before. Naturally the 30 day return policy has expired. I would not recommend these to anyone. This is the second review I’ve written, the first one was not allowed for unknown reason? Lol
