The first alternator I received felt a little off when I spun the pulley – like something was hanging up. After installing it, I heard a loud whine coming from the alternator so I removed it right away. I returned it with no issue (thanks to Amazon’s convenient return policy) and received a new one shortly after. I can’t give 5 stars due to the return issue, but the second alternator works very well – maybe even a little better than the stock one in the low RPM band. In all, I’m very happy with my purchase and the money I saved. Just don’t go this route if yours if fried, and you need to drive the vehicle to work tomorrow morning.
