My old struts were shot. Every little bump resulted in a loud “clunk” and the handling was not tight at all. Installation of these fixe both issues.**Jeep Liberty Installation Guide**Tools Needed:Breaker barHeavy duty socket wrench (1/2″ if you have it)21mm socket18mm deep well socket1/2″ socketJack standDirections:1) Loosen lugs while car is on the ground.2) Pop the hood and remove battery box, battery and battery tray3) Jack up whichever side you’re working on first and place your Jack stand under the frame4) Using 21mm socket loosen upper control arm ball joint nut, lower strut bracket nut, and middle strut bracket bolt.5) Under hood use the 18mm socket to loosen all 4 upper strut nuts just to the end of the threads.6) Remove lower strut bracket bolt completely. You may have to use a hammer to pop it out. Moving the lower control arm Using the Jack can help alleviate pressure.7) Remove upper control arm ball joint nut and let entire assembly down. It should fall free of the lowered strut bracket fork. If not use a hammer and tap it free.8) Remove middle strut bracket bolt and tap the fork loose from the upper strut assembly. There should be enough okay for the fork to slide down over the axle and lower control arm.9) Remove the 4 nuts at the top of the strut and using your other hand hold the spring in the wheel well as it comes loose. Pull the whole assembly out.10) Take the new assembly and slide it in the same way the other one came out. Put the nuts just barely on the threads so you still can maneuver it to line up with the fork.11) Slide the fork assembly onto the upper strut assembly lining the notch up with the gap and hand tighten the bolt.(Having another set of hands for the next step is helpful)12) push down on the brake assembly with your foot and move (or have a partner move) the fork back into alignment and push the bolt through the fork and mount holes. Hand tighten the nut on the bolt.13) Tighten all 4 upper strut bolts.14) Line up the upper ball noint and use the Jack to lift the lower control arm until you can put the nut back on the ball joint. Tighten it as tight as you can.15) Using the jack, put all the weight of the care on the lower control arm to assure the strut is fully seated in the fork and then tighten the middle strut bolt and the lower fork bolt/nut all the way.16) Repeat on other side then remount your wheel, replace the air box, battery tray and battery.Every tutorial I watched showed them removing the entire caliper, rotar, lower control arm and even the tie rods. It’s all unnecessary. The steps above are the easiest way.

Dodge Nitro. These fit and they work, so far so good. Plan on getting rid of the truck so if they last 2 years it’s worth the low cost. Car is back to normal now when going over speed bumps. Nice upgrade from blown struts.

It was a great fit and easy replacement. Bought the product in early 2023. It needs to be replaced again so it had a bit over 2 year life. Will be buying again! It’s a great product
