Why Upgrade to Aluminum Valve Covers?
The factory valve covers on the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 are known for:
-
Warping over time
-
Cracked plastic housings
-
Failing integrated spark plug tube seals
-
Oil leaks into plug wells
Aluminum construction offers:
-
Better heat resistance
-
Improved structural rigidity
-
Longer service life
-
Reduced oil seepage risk
Translation: install once and stop worrying about it.

Final Verdict
If your VQ35 has oil leaks around the valve covers, this MITZONE Aluminum Valve Cover Set is a durability-focused upgrade over the original plastic design. Better heat resistance, stronger construction, and long-term sealing reliability.
Because oil belongs inside the engine—not in your spark plug wells.

These things are awsome! Ive had about 6 different G35s now all of them with the warpped plastic valve covers. But these aluminums are great. They look great. install really easy for anyone mechanically inclined. Good quality gaskets. The only thing that i dont like is that I am goiing to have to figure out some way to clean my engine bay up more to show these things off…

I don’t write many reviews, but I had to write this one. I am an 18 year Nissan Master Technician and the OEM valve covers for 350Zs, FX35s, etc are super uber expensive. These are a GREAT VALUE. The gaskets came pre-installed into the valve cover grooves. Fit and finish seemed fine. And the gasket was “squishy” and “Flexible” like the OEM gaskets.Upon installation, I lubricated the tube seals with WD40 to aid in them fitting over the spark plug tubes. They worked perfectly. I think some of the negative reviews about this product are due to installation issues and not taking care to not roll the seals/gaskets or not paying attention to the tube seals not getting cut by the spark plug tubes. I highly recommend them. Just be sure to also purchase the PCV cross-over hose that goes between both valve covers as yours will be dry-rotted and hard as plastic.

Fit my DE 350z perfectly. The included gaskets were pretty stiff, I recommend getting OEM. Spark plug seals are great and replaceable, unlike the OEM valve covers. The threaded holes for the coil packs and wire brackets weren’t deep enough, get some shorter bolts or a few washers. The paint isn’t that durable but you don’t notice once it’s installed.Only took of a star cause of the threaded hole issue. Definitely recommend if you’re doing a valve cover job.

Been running these valve covers on my G for about one year. Out of the box, you have to take off the baffles and clean out metal shavings. Bad overspray on the inside of the valve covers and in the bolt holes. All bolts were torqued to spec and in sequence, but the driver side valve cover eventually warped. Also, the threads for the coil pack bolt holes are weak, the threads broke when tightening the bolt to torque spec after doing some check-up on the car. They are cheap, but the quality is poor and these are not worth the buy.

I received my aluminum valve covers with all hardware and gaskets. They look amazing and can’t wait to throw them on my 350z. Packing was great and everything seemed in great shape.

3/5 stars because they look awesome & come with all the hardware ie bolts, new oil cap, pvc valve/ hose, and gaskets however mine came with a ton of scratches. I took the extra step and got oem valve cover gaskets from z1 so I knew for sure the gaskets were solid & ended up still having pretty bad leakage on the BRAND NEW covers and gaskets. I had it installed by a mechanic and we tried everything possible to get it to not leak and it still leaks. Not sure if I got a bad set or they are all bad but I’ve definitely heard good and bad things about the aluminum covers I’m just lost at this point because I don’t wanna risk the issue again ordering another set, and i definitely don’t wanna spend $500 on oem covers off Z1. Nor do I want some cheap Chinese plastic covers.

I’ve had these on my 350z for well over a year now and have had zero issues. Like many 350z’s my spark plug wells were leaking badly. I used the gasket they supplied but used RTV in the corners where it’s needed. Paint was good and the PCV valve came disassembled to avoid breaking during shipping. I love that these are aluminum and won’t shrink from all the heat cycles and I can replace just the spark plug wells if I ever need to (unlike the OEM ones). Fit was perfect and you can’t beat it for the price. If you’re on the fence about these just do it!
Was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. –
Pleasantly surprised
I was very skeptic but I’m glad I did it , this is a must have part for any Z/G owner . Fit perfect and looks great , only downside is the paint will have some small marks but for the 700$ saved from going genuine I think it’s worth it .
