Put this on my ’12 Civic SI right after I purchased the car and what a difference. Not in performance(that I can notice), but in sound. It really opens the motor up. Still quiet when you want it to be but bellows when you get past half throttle. I paired this with a throttle body spacer and cat back exhaust. Makes a huge difference on the car. Better gas mileage as well. Adding the spacer gives it a little whistle. Highly recommended. Install took roughly 1 hour without any special tools. Have had it on for 3 months and no problems, no check engine lights. Very pleased.

Took about an hour, maybe a little more but the instructions are simple to follow.Noticeable difference right away. Makes the car more responsive and the sound is nice, deep, and full.Make sure you take care of the air filter and clean it. The filter is easy to take off.If you’re looking for a quick upgrade that won’t mess with your warranty, then I highly recommend this product.

The kit was complete with everything it needed. The instructions for install weren’t very helpful! It explains how to start the process, but stops right before installing everything else, and basically leaves you guessing where everything goes. One piece of advice, install the rubber molding that goes on the heat shield before putting it in the engine bay. If you try and do it afterwards it’ll be a pain in the ass. As far as performance goes, improvements all around. The throttle response is unbelievably good and reaching top end is a lot faster. Sounds like a beast at high RPMs! Great product, except for instructions.

This intake sounds GREAT, really seams to allow the engine to breath better. But I can’t say I really feel any noticeable power increase. I installed a Borla Cat-Back exhaust on the same day as I installed this and have seen a 2-3mpg increase. Installation was pretty easy, it took me about 2hrs start to finish. The only issue I had was with the mounting screw for the housing, very tight fit, hard to get threads started and could only get about 1/8 turn to the screw each time with the wrench. Also don’t over tighten the hose clamp to the stock cool air inlet, after driving when the car heats up it will collapse the plastic tube. Overall I am very happy with this product.

I threw one of these on my ’12 Si sedan in hopes of a little bit of a power bump and THOUGHT I’d found the ticket. It unleashes a real snarl. Sadly, as I started paying attention to my intake air temps (via datalogging), I found that the K&N is a real letdown in the heat soak department. At cruise on the highway, I find my intake air temps running anywhere from 16-18 degrees above outside air temps. The second you slow to a stop, the temps go through the roof, as the K&N sucks in air from very near the heat of the Si’s downpipe. I’ll be replacing it with a true cold air intake at first opportunity.

There is one step missing in the instructions that come with it but we also used youtube as a guide and it worked perfectly. Depending on the car that you put it in, it is more or less of a hassle to get it in but for me, it worked just fine.So far I have no issues with it and besides the nice roaring noise it adds when flooring my Civic SI it also seems to enhance the performance of the car. Have not tested that though.

I recommend this item! I was concerned that the check engine light would turn on when I installed it my self since I have the stock ECU. As a few weeks have past by from installing the intake no check engine light has turned on. I can definitely notice a small gain of power on the Si. I also love how it sounds. I recommend it to others!

I installed this kit on a 2012 Honda Civic SI. The installation was fairly straightforward but I gave it a four instead of a five because the directions it could be a little better. You constantly need to flip back to the diagram to see which part they are talking about but if you have general mechanical ability it should be no problem. This kit is fantastic, I can’t describe how awesome the sound is compared to the stock air filter. I do Believe there is a mild power increase but I didn’t do an official timing of the car acceleration stock compared to the kit installed. For me it’s all about the sound, it definitely sounds more powerful. Your wife will be relieved that during normal driving it sounds completely stock it’s only when you floor it that the sound really comes alive. You will not regret getting this kit!
