It seems like a quality alternator that fits great in my 2009 Sonata. It worked perfectly until about 3 weeks ago, and now I’m having trouble keeping power while driving. Seems like its not charging the battery properly anymore after only a couple months and we have no warranty, so we’re probably gonna have to get a new one out of pocket soon.

I would never again buy a part I need to depend on from this supplier. I removed my old alternator and slapped this one in. I replaced the belt and idler pulley with it. The pulley was oversized and I could not get the belt over the pulley. It was late on a Sunday and I had to call it a day. I brought it to a local shop and it cost $114 to get the new belt over the overaized pulley. That lasted about 5 minutes for the mechanic to come out and tell me the alternator was not charging. I had to buy a new alternator at the Auto Zone next-door. It cost another $358 in labor to install then remove the defective unit and swap in the new unit. Instead of saving $200 buying an alternator locally I spent $358 in labor on top of the cost of a new alternator. If I could give a big fat ZERO STARS, I would.
