Update: Alternator died after around 12000 miles. I think it was too weak from the beginning because it had problems providing enough power for the cabin fan on low RPM, but with RPM around 2000 it was OK. So that means that for most of the time it is working on 100% workload and with this workload will fail quite soon. Considering price for labor for replacing it I wouldn’t recommend buying it unless you ok with replacing it yourself and you are OK with it dying at any moment on a road.

The Kia Alternators are a royal pain to install. There is no room and bracket space is tight.Removing the old Alternator was a chore because of this. And the internet and videos share the issues with getting these in and out. However the bracket was ever lose and made for a simple install and tightens up just fine.The whole install and removal took one hour. Do some research and see how they are removed and installed. Its should be easy enough to do. But if you charge in because you are mechanic. You will no doubt learn the issues with these Alternators in a Kia Sorento.Quality is very good. Fit and finish are top notch.This Alternator has good ratings because it does what its supposed to.I recommend this for a easy install.If this Alternator fails or has issues I will update my reviews.

It fit my 2007 Entourage and showed a little over 14.5V after starting the engine with a fully charged battery. Removing the nearest idler pulley and loosening the 10 mm bolt holding the low pressure return line for air conditioning allowed the old alternator to be wrestled out and the new alternator installed without removing radiator fan. It helps to have two people to get the alternator aligned and to remove the right front wheel and inner fender-well cover for access to the lower bolt
