It’s not easy working in the tight Elantra engine compartment but it can be done. This unit was a perfect fit. Apparently when the old alternator kicked-the-bucket it sent out a voltage spike that fried the Alternator fuse under the hood and took out the two radio (audio) fuses in the dash. Everything’s good now.Update – unit quit working after two weeks.Update on the update – The battery went bad for reasons not related to the alternator. The alternator is fine!

Plain and simple, just buy it!They sell great product! You think because of the price you’re going to get shafted/screwed over! No, by no means.It’s pre-threaded what I recommend is buying a longer bolt and a nut with a lock washer do not return it because you over cranked it and stripped. I didn’t buy this alternator because I had good solid, steel workmanship, no I bought it because I was hoping it would work all hopes aside because it really worked! Don’t forget read this again, buy a longer mounting bolt with a lock washer and a nut do not crank it at the pounds recommended cause you’ll feel an extra SPIN. Good product. Just installed it and it fit and works fine. Not sure about how long it will last but I took a chance because ORM was $230. . If it gives me a year, I’ll be more than satisfied for the price. But the quality seemed really good my examined it so I’m thinking it’s gonna last a lot longer.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:When my alternator went out the ones at auto zone was over 300 $ so I looked on here and went with this one . I’ve now had it in my 2008 Hyundai Alantra for a couple weeks and it’s worked perfectly .will update if anything happens but seems to be good quality product for the price .

Don’t buy this alternator. We bought it in September 2023 and it lasted all of 6 months. It is killing every battery we put in the car. You won’t be able to return it because Amazon can’t even find a phone number for the actual seller. They are issuing a refund to us as an exception but the seller is crap and unreachable from here in the US.
