Product description
BDELI – Better Deliver, Better Deal
Why Alternator Health Matters on GM 3.6L Platforms
Once the engine is running, the alternator becomes the primary electrical power source for:
-
Engine and transmission control modules
-
Electric power steering and AWD systems
-
Front and rear HVAC blowers
-
Infotainment, cameras, and safety electronics
-
Cooling fans and charging the battery

When alternator output drops, the battery tries to cover the load—briefly—and then fails early. Symptoms usually include:
-
Repeated dead batteries
-
Charging system or battery warnings
-
Flickering headlights or displays
-
Random electrical faults
Replacing the alternator fixes the root cause, not the symptom.
NOTE: Please check fitment information before purchase

Why 170 Amps Is the Correct Output
GM engineered these crossovers with high idle and accessory demand. A 170-amp alternator provides:
-
Strong charging at idle (where these live)
-
Stable voltage with HVAC, AWD, and infotainment running
-
Faster battery recovery after starts
-
Reduced long-term stress on wiring and control modules
Not overkill. Not underpowered. Exactly what these vehicles expect.

Bought and replaced alternator in May. It just hit August and it’s causing issues with my battery. Low voltage output is what the diagnostic reads. Past 30 days so I can’t get a refund/replace. Going yo have to buy another and pay to have it installed. AGAIN.
Jessie E. –
Perfect fit , Works like it should. With no problem. Thanks again Amazon.

So far this has been perfect for my 2012. Heavy Traverse. It was easy to install, YouTube can show you how. I’ll let you know in a few months if it was worth it!

Worked great for about 5 months then started failing. Amazon wont give me the option to message seller about getting it replaced
