Vehicle Compatibility (Gasoline Only)
Designed for 1997–2000 Chevy and GMC pickup trucks requiring:
-
Replacement for 19177242 / E3947M
-
Two electrical connectors configuration
-
In-tank fuel pump module applications
If your truck needs the dual-connector setup, this is the correct assembly—not a universal workaround.

Why a Complete Fuel Pump Assembly Matters on GMT400 Trucks
These trucks rely on stable fuel pressure (PSI) and proper signal communication between the pump and sending unit. Replacing only the pump motor often leads to:
-
Inaccurate fuel gauge readings
-
Lean conditions under load
-
Repeat failures from worn internal components
The FP74757M assembly includes:
-
High-pressure electric fuel pump
-
Fuel level sending unit
-
Pre-filter strainer (sock)
-
Internal pressure regulation components
-
OE-style housing with two electrical connectors
One replacement. One fix. No return trips.
Performance & Drivability Benefits
GMT400 trucks are workhorses, and weak fuel delivery shows up fast—especially when towing, hauling, or accelerating with a load.
Installing a new fuel pump assembly:
-
Restores factory fuel pressure
-
Improves cold starts and throttle response
-
Prevents hesitation and lean misfires
-
Stabilizes injector operation
-
Fixes inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge behavior
It won’t add horsepower—but it will keep the horsepower you already have.

worked like it should

Used on a ‘98 silverado. The fuel pump works great and is quiet. Still going strong. Also a great price.

Thought we had the wrong part but thr sent the connector to change as one of the ends were different on the old one. Change the wire and in process of hooking it up and getting g gas tank back under vehicle.

On had a month, driven 15 miles. It just won’t build the pressure needed for my ‘99 OBS 7.4.
