The filter works as it should. i have used these FRAM filters for years. the reason i gave it 1 less star is they are removing material to save on cost. the picture shows there are fewer baffles (less surface area for air to pass through).just another example of the less product and increased price.anyway the filter still works, i just wanted to make a note of that so you can make an informed decision.

Did not fit my 2019 Outback. Not going to give a bad review because it is a good product, but beware if you have a 2015-2019 Outback as mine did not fit.

This schedule suits our car’s demands perfectly, especially since my husband is keen on regular maintenance. True enough, by the six-month mark, the filter is ready for a swap, usually looking its duty by then.I stick to a three-month interval for oil changes and, while the filter still looks serviceable at that point, the combined renewal of both oil and air filter every half-year leaves our Outback feeling rejuvenated.Besides the noticeable boost in performance post-maintenance, the cost-effectiveness of these filters is a win. Doing it ourselves saves a good chunk of change compared to having it replaced during an oil change service. Plus, it’s a straightforward task that doesn’t take much time or effort.Overall, we’re very happy with the FRAM filters.
