Great replacement, cheaper than the auto part store, and functions great. I put some smell-good oil on mine, and it makes my car smell good. The airflow is great, super easy to use and install, the filter is good quality, and it’s quite durable. i would recommend it saved me money and does what I needed it to do 100%.

I purchased the FRAM Extra Guard CA10242 for my 2019 Ford Explorer, and I couldn’t be happier. Installation was super easy—took just a few minutes with no tools needed. It fits just fine, but the rim of the filter is slightly larger than OEM. It was a little difficult to get the airbox locked due to this. I would buy again, but this is something to be aware of.

For all of the hype that comes with “premium” or “Sport” filters, I assure you that depending on your car it’s all snake oil. I’m a major believer in upgrading car parts. I ordered a K&N for my Ford Explorer 2013 Limited, and what ended up happening is my MPG dropped tremendously! I’m not a fast driver, I use cruise control more than anything, and it was a horrible purchase. I then bought this one and my MPG increased back to what it was. I’m now getting close to 400 miles on a full tank compared to the 300 to 350 I was getting with the K&N.Now, my Explorer is in excellent condition, well maintained, all maintenance done when they are due.This filter is strong, larger than the K&N, air flow is strong and noticeable, installation was very easy, you just need to completely removed the filter cover instead of moving it to the side in order to make this fit!This is a great buy indeed, don’t waste your money on expensive filters, don’t believe the hype of the offerings that they claim, don’t fall into the well organized marketing…This is indeed an amazing filter, much better than the OEM filter and much better than the expensive ones as well.
