I went into town to the local parts stores, they both start with Axxxxx, one looked at my alternator and said that they keep getting the wrong parts, the other tested and said that the alternated tested good. So, why does it fail in my car, possibly defective test equipment. Ordered and installed new belt and alternator, great price, at 1/2 the cost of the Axxxxx parts store and same warranty, and they do sell a lot of alternators, the other reason why I bought from them. car runs great again,,,,

Ordered this alternator because it was what I could afford. Took it to the mechanic and they put it in, only to find out that it wasn’t sending out the correct charge. Now my car is only running off the battery so that’s just AWESOME. If they were to take it out and I return the alternator I’d have to pay $300 to the mechanic.

Fit correctly didnt need the spacers 8ve seen some replacements needing and didnt cost 400 dollars like autozone and advance autos stock. Just MIND YOUR COOLANT OVERFLOW TUBE when pulling out the old one. But if you do amazon has a cheap replacement for that too ( https://a.co/d/2ZXtNw4 ) GLUE WONT work lol my wife insisted I try….

Diagnostian bought for myself
As a diagnostian I has seen many brand new or reman alternators not work with the Ford smart charge system so I was suspicous of this one but it worked perfectly. Saved over $100 by not having to pay stealership prices
