Had to have the regulator replaced right out of the box I put the alternator on and at idle it would barely charge and I would give it gas and it would spike real high took it to the alternator repair shop and had a new regulator installed and works perfect now but you should not have to do this with a brand new alternator it was just easier for me to have it fixed than to send it back and it take a week to get a new one
