  • High-Efficiency Pleated Media
Captures fine dust, pollen, soot, spores, and airborne irritants before they enter the cabin.

  • Restores HVAC Performance
A fresh filter allows full airflow, which means stronger A/C output, better heater response, and quicker windshield defogging.

  • Protects A/C Components
Prevents dust and debris from coating the evaporator core — a common cause of moldy odors in older Mazdas.

  • OEM-Correct Replacement for CF11672
Built with precision pleats and proper sealing foam to eliminate unfiltered bypass air.

Symptoms of a Dirty Cabin Air Filter

Most Mazda 3 owners don’t notice the gradual decline in HVAC performance until it becomes painfully obvious. You likely need a new filter if:

  • The interior smells stale when you turn on the A/C

  • Airflow from the vents feels noticeably weaker

  • The windshield fogs faster than it clears

  • Your allergies get worse while driving

  • Dust accumulates on your dashboard faster than usual

Replacing the filter often feels like a brand-new climate control system.

Recommended Service Interval

Mazda service guidelines suggest swapping the cabin air filter every 12,000–15,000 miles or once per year. If you live in a dusty area, near trees, or drive in heavy traffic, you may want to replace it sooner.

The CP672 makes it inexpensive and easy.

It’s been almost 6 years (~23k miles) since I replaced my cabin filter, but that’s because I barely drive my car 4k miles/year. The installation was simple and the filter fits like the old one. I noticed an immediate improvement in the smell and air quality, which wasn’t bad to begin with. My only concern is this filter has ⅔ the pleats of the OEM filter (top of picture). I wonder if having fewer pleats is part of the reason why I didn’t notice much of an improvement in air flow, but this is only a small concern because the airflow was great before the replacement. It also makes me wonder if air flow will decrease faster over time with fewer pleats. The pleats on the new filter are thicker and more rounded than the OEM filter, so there may not be quite as much of a reduction in the total surface area. But, this is a small gripe and I can’t complain for the low cost of the filter. I would buy again, even if I have to replace it a little sooner.

I replaced the ancient cabin filter in a Mazda I bought to fix up. The unpleasant smell in the interior was trapped by the carbon in a few hours of HVAC use. Legitimately good filters!

This fits my 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv Hatchback. Tough to get into the space where it’s located but easy to install.

As someone else mentioned the top filter doesn’t have anything that’s shows what direction the air flow is so I had to pretty much guess. The bottom filter did say but top did not have any sign or symbol. I used the old filter as a reference so I’m hoping that was okay. I recommend checking the direction before removing the plastic around the filters. Other than that they seemed to fit correctly and it took a bit to install but that’s mostly because of the way the cabin filter area is in the car.

These are super cheap and the filtration seems on par with the OEM. Not sure the carbon adds much to an OEM filter, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Fits great on my 2010 Mazda 3. Be aware of the orientation of the filters when you take them out and don’t get too frustrated when you have to shove the two replacements up there in the right alignment. Overall recommend this to anyone looking for a good value and nice air!
