Why the E3500M Complete Assembly Matters
GMT800 fuel systems rely on consistent fuel pressure (PSI) and accurate sensor feedback to the ECU. Replacing only the pump motor while leaving behind a failing sending unit or bad pressure sensor is how drivability issues and check engine lights come back fast.
The E3500M assembly includes:
-
High-pressure electric fuel pump
-
Fuel level sending unit
-
Integrated fuel pressure sensor
-
Pre-filter strainer (sock)
-
Internal pressure regulation components
-
OE-style housing and electrical connectors
One install. One fix. No return trips.
Compatible Applications (Gasoline Engines)
-
Chevy Silverado (1999–2004)
-
GMC Sierra (1999–2004)
Engine Compatibility:
-
4.3L V6
-
4.8L V8
-
5.3L V8
-
6.0L V8
-
8.1L V8
⚠️ Gasoline applications only. Verify VIN and fuel system configuration before ordering.

Perfect DIY Fit! Replaced my 2000 Chevy Silverado. No need to rewire the harness as all parts were the same. My fuel gauge now works and no more leaks when the pump is running. This was a great price and did it myself in my driveway. Highly recommend.

this fuel pump worked perfect on my 2000 chevy silverado ,,, would buy again from this person if needed ,,,thanks and keep up the good work …my old pump was doing 40lbs pressure just enough fuel to run the truck but when accelerated died down to a stall.. this new pump held 72lbs of pressure and runs like a scalded dog…thanks again

So far so good! Works well, is quiet, and comes with everything you need including a little wiring diagram to splice in the new connector. Time will tell with durability, but it started up first try and seems to be accurate and seals tightly

This fuel pump was a perfect for for the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3. There was no need to swap the wiring connections because it was an exact fit. This unit came with a quality filter pre-installed on the fuel pickup. I found it to be a high quality replacement.

*UPDATE * Its been a few months now since i installed this pump and it has worked flawlessly, cant say enough good things about it so ill leave it at this, buy this pump, its worth the money and works just as well as the oem!Im writing this review and just so there’s no mistake the pump has been in for a week now so I will update down the road. I took a chance on this pump assy because of the price and the other 4 people that gave it 5 stars at the time. The pump was an exact match and fit well. The only problem I had which also delayed my instal was the new wiring harness that needs to be installed on the vehicle and here’s why. I never trust wiring things up by color alone, I’m an electro-mechanical maintenance tech and have made that mistake in the past so I always go by numbers or letters when present. Unfortunately the lettering on the harness isn’t clear, there’s an A on one side and a D on the oppisite side but it isn’t correct. The pamphlet that came with is correct but once again they do this with colors. If looking at the harness from the rear the correct lettering sequence from right to left is C, A, B, D. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you pull off the OEM plug and replace it. This thing is as quiet as a church mouse so have a second person there to turn the key while you listen for the pump to engage. I have to say so far so good. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Update 9/20/23:So it’s been about 3 years 8 months since I installed this pump and it’s still working great. :-)Update 1/24/20:This pump has been working flawlessly for almost five months now. As I said in my original review it’s easy to see this is a well-made part. So glad I didn’t pay tons more for an OEM pump!(Original review)This fuel pump looks as well made as any I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen quite a few. The only issue I had was adapting the wiring harness but after checking out the color coding of the wires online I was able to figure it out.Pro tip: if you have a pick up truck it may well be easier to raise the bed than drop the tank. There are YouTube videos that describe that there are four bolts down each frame rail on each side of the bed. First, disconnect the fuel filler neck from the gas door opening. Then completely remove the 4 bolts on the driver side and loosen the bolts on the right side of the bed most of (but not all) the way. Cut 2 or 3 2”x4”s approximately 16 inches in length. Have a friend help you lift up the driver’s side and support it by bracing one of the 2x4s between the underside of the bed and the frame rail. You’ll find you may need to trim the 2”x4”s somewhat to get them to wedge in securely but once you get it propped up with one you’ll have an easier time figuring out what length the others need to be.Before removing the fuel pump from the top of the fuel tank, be sure to first wash off any loose debris nearby! You don’t want to get any dirt whatsoever into the fuel tank. Then follow the pump replacement instructions that came with it.
