This product will add LED lights to the inner wheel of your car. These LED lights are mounted on the rotor brake caliper pads, so if you have rear drum brakes, they won’t work for you. The package includes four LED light strips connected to metal inner rings with adhesive, a light controller module with four cables and connectors for the strips, a small remote control in a clear waterproof pouch, metal mounting kits, and a colorful instruction manual.Installation is labor-intensive, especially if you can’t jack up all four wheels at once, like in an auto shop with a lift. If you only jack up one wheel at a time, it could take a long time. You will need to remove all four wheels to install these lights. Running wires underneath the car is also very tricky. The controller has bare electrical wires that must be connected to the vehicle’s 12V power, as well as the left, right, and brake light wires for triggering the LED lights. There are designated lights for the front left, front right, and rear light strips.You can control these lights with a remote or the app. I downloaded the app called “Lotus Lantern” from Google Play and connected it to the light strip controller via Bluetooth. The app is easy to use, with several preset patterns for the lights. You can also sync your music from your phone to create a light show. The remote controller, which requires a coin-sized CR2025 battery (not included), is an alternative. My remote was not working after I installed the battery. I tested with several batteries and confirmed that the remote is DOA.As expected, the LED lights are not visible during the daytime. They work best at night. The product is sturdy and well-made. Installation can be challenging. If you’re not very handy or good with electrical wiring, consider hiring a shop to install this properly.

The main thing to point out about this is that it’s a “wheels-up” installation, all 4 wheels need to come off the car, and your vehicle needs to be equipped with 4-wheel disk brakes. It’s not made for drum brakes, so attempt that at your own risk. Installation can take the better part of an afternoon, and maybe a touch of the evening as well, so be prepared for that.The quality of everything seems really good, and the lights are extremely bright, though you won’t get much out of this in the daytime, as it’s tough to compete against the sun. I love that it has both the remote control as well as the app, because I’m not a huge “app guy”, and prefer to just use the remote, which works just fine. For the price of around a hundred bucks, I think these wheel lights are worth every penny. 5 stars.
