Sounds kind of bad. If this is on your consideration list i would recommend just cutting your exhaust off at the resonator and leaving it as is. The sound will be the same. It fit great and the metal seems to be good wuality. Easy to install and looks good. I would be wary of the structural aspects as it seems to be laser welded which from experience I can say doesn’t hold up great for exhausts.

This exhaust is really loud.. and not so much loud as annoying.. sounds like crap. Does not have a performance sound. It also has created a difference in back pressure so the car runs crappy…

Fits my 03 ex sedan well except the muffler is too large diameter and hits the bumper cover, but oh well it was cheap and carries the noxious fumes out the back of the car like it’s designed to.Do no buy if you live in an area where the cops are known to pull vehicles over for loud exhaust, this setup with their test pipe is almost as loud as my straight piped Silverado and gives off the stereotypical fart can noise.

You won’t find a better performance for the money. All hardware and gaskets included and it’s all stainless steel. Nice throaty sound around town and screams on full throttle. Love the 4 inch “coffee can” tailpipe ! Way more power after installing this system ! A+++++++

Overall could be worse, to combat other reviews mine did come with plenty of hardware and gaskets and i put this on a 2005 honda civic ex coupe with a d17a2 motor. It is very raspy around 3800 rpms but i can tell theres more power. A glasspack and some rerouting of pipe made it work decent and somewhat quieter. Probably dont buy if you don’t have a welder and a lift

Bought for a D17A1, was expecting to mount to cat, which is on the manifold, and the exhaust is not long enough and does not mount correctly. The pipe looks like it should be mounted to a cat that is on the pipe not the manifold. This kit was not made for an 01 civic

No sound deadening
I only really needed it for the tubing but was hoping to be able to use the muffler. The muffler has no sound deadening material so it does nothing, and the resonator is just a larger piece of tube, no perforations or anything.The mid pipe was also hanging down 2″ too far. Tubing is 2.4″ diameter also.If you have a welder and need to build an exhaust for a civic this is ok but it will sound terrible if you’re looking for a bolt on exhaust.
