Break Your Subwoofer In
Much like the engine of a new automobile, a new subwoofer must go through a short but important process of “break-in” before it is run under harsh conditions. The “break-in” process will ensure the subwoofer is able to perform as it has been designed to.
This process involves subjecting the subwoofer to no more than low-to-medium volume levels for a number of hours in the enclosure. 3-4 hours is generally sufficient for the subwoofer’s suspension to loosen enough to prevent the voice coil(s) from overheating and causing failure.
The break-in period is also effective in extending subwoofer life. Over-driving the woofer before it has been properly broken-in will usually result in premature failure and poor performance.

This sun sounds pretty awesome. Especially at the price point of $160ish bucks. Now, I have found that since the enclosed box is only 7 inches thick at its widest point, this bass is a littler tighter sounding than my previous 12 inch Rockford discard enclosed sub in my old car – that one rattled the mirrors a little more. This one vibrates the rear view mirror a little, and I can still feel some bass. For an SUV cab, it’s plenty without hurting my ears and can still slap. I also went with the low-profile enclosure so it doesn’t take up much storage space. Overall a very good subwoofer purchase. I do wish it came with a detachable wire hook-up plug like my old Rockford fosgate did when I needed to remove it for storage space. But I found Scoche sells one for about $20.If you’re looking for a powered sub for under $200, this is a fantastic options

Haven’t had any issues, I work in parts sales and I already know 99% of electrical issues are user error and not because of the product. This seemed pretty simple to wire especially since the amplifier was built into it. Instructions could’ve been a little more easily explained but I got the point of them and have had it for a few months now with no issues.

Only 50hz minimum.
Works well and seems high quality but it only goes down to 50hz which is pretty disappointing. I would have preferred it to go down to at least 30. Besides that it’s loud and has good quality sound.

way better options on the market, if you are going for a subwoofer purchase the pioneer one instead. this is mainly for bass and if you already have a good audio system then you won’t even be able to hear it (won’t make that big of an effect)
