What is a micron?
The average size of the openings between pieces of the filter media are represented in microns. A micron compares the size of common allergens. As a general rule, the smaller micron rating is for a filter, the better the filter is. For example, a 20-micron filter has larger openings than a 5-micron filter. Consequently, the 20-micron filter element will let larger particles pass through the filter than the 5-micron media would. This fits in my Chevy Bolt EV, and it is one of very few parts that I have to replace due to the requirements of the cars make up.This part appears better than the other alternatives that I found online and in the parts store. I paid less than going to the store, and have it automatically shipped to me through subscribe and save.I appreciate that the the filter appears to function better or as good as the OEM one, it appears that the thickness and quality of air is far superior than other manufacturers. Although this filter fits many models, it is the same for all Chevy Bolt EV and EUV’s from 2016-2024.I will continue to use this specific brand and filter as long as I have this car, and replace it every year.

Imagine having almost 35,000 miles on your vehicle before finding out that the service dept. at our dealership has never checked it since it was bought while noting it on the check list for an oil change that they did. I found out about changing this on a Chevy forum so watched UTube to see what it entailed.
