Perfect Fit for Maverick 4’6″ Bed:
Precision-engineered for all 2021–2025 Maverick trims with the 54.4″ bed. -
Simple, Drill-Free Install:
Clamps on easily without modifying your bed rails.
The engineers at BAK Industries fine-tuned even the smallest elements of the cover, down to adding cab corner caps and rail-end cap, to extending a matte-finish throughout the cover’s side rails, clamps, and elevator bolts.
The MX4’s integrated buckle system and automatic latching mechanism allows you to drive with the cover partially or fully opened without covering the 3rd brake light. For 100% bed access, simply unlock the cover from either side via its pull latches and fold the cover all the way up against the cab.
From there, you can prop the cover in place by tightening two rods into the underside of the panel. For enhanced durability, the MX4 also features pre-molded, shock-absorbent bumpers on either side of the panel, protecting the folded panels from hitting the cover during turbulent driving.
Why Choose the MX4?
Because it’s one of the best hard folding tonneau covers money can buy. It’s tough, sleek, weatherproof, and fits the Maverick perfectly. If you want reliability and premium quality instead of “good enough,” BAKFlip MX4 is the top-tier choice.
Rain or shine, the MX4 provides confident cargo storage that’s complete with dual drain tubes to divert water away from the truck bed, as well as full perimeter seals to help protect against water intrusion. Finally, the MX4 can hold up to 400lbs of evenly distributed weight and is backed by a 5-year, hassle-free warranty. BAKFlip MX4 is proudly made in the USA with globally sourced materials with a US-based support team.

Bought for 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid. Would give it 4.5 stars but 5 will work. Reason for saying that is about some very small places for water entry. Not a big deal. Fits great!! Very easy install compared to others. Highly recommend this good product.

Added to my truck a little over a year ago. Pretty easy install, everything just fit. I got mine a few weeks before they released the T-track version of the rails, which I would have preferred, so you may want to consider that option. The cover works great. Easy to open/close. It’s not watertight (had no expectations it would be), but still keeps out 99% of the water. Only places water intrudes is around the tailgate. Not the cover’s faults. The vinyl material over the aluminum slats looks great (truck is always outside, so enduring the weather). I use 303 protectant on it and that really helps! Picture of the top shows the condition after 13 months (pardon the dust…it’s pollen season!)

I got this for my 2024 Maverick Lariat. Installation was straight-forward. It has worked beautifully for months now. Some folks expect their bed covers to be watertight, but I’m not one of them. When I can see light along the edges of a closed tailgate it seems a bit much to expect the cover to be watertight. This cover does fit very well and the seals around the perimeter do lead me to believe that it’s doing a good job of keeping rainwater out. I have yet to see any water in the bed of my truck.Everyday use is easy. The one hand operation for opening each section works very well. When I want open access to the whole bed, the provisions for attaching the sections up against the back window are quick and easy. When it’s time to close up, it’s an easy process of flopping each section over. Since they are self latching no other effort is required.I’m one of those people who will choose function over form every time, but in the case of this cover I don’t have to. With its near flush mounting and aluminum finish it looks terrific on my truck. It’s added value, utility and good aesthetics to my truck.

Works great. The only complaint I have is that the ties for holding the cover in the fully rolled-up position are very hard to get in place. They really need to rethink the design of the straps. Put the adjustable pull in a position under the rolled-up top rather than between the roll and the cab, where you cannot get a grip on it. Because of this flaw, you have to have the length set before putting the end connector into its socket, and that’s very hard to do when rolled up against the cab.

The instalation isn’t difficult, but I would recommend to watch a YouTube video just for better visual references (and additional suggestions). My instalation took me about an hour or so, after double/triple checking my steps and placements. So far I love this bed cover, while in the rain water only leaks (very mildly) through the back of the bed but not (with good placement) through the tailgate. My bed can now be used like a big trunk, and it leveled with the bed. Giving a sleek look that doesn’t stick out like a soar thumb.Security feels solid. Unlike with a soft cover, a thief won’t be able to get into your bed very easily with a single cut of a knife. Ultimately a cover is a visual deterrent, thieves are more often than not opportunist. If they don’t see (or are aware of) something to steal, they mostly likely won’t attempt to. If you concern with more persistent offenders, this hardcover makes it more difficult for break-ins.This hard cover is the best bang for your buck. Looks good, it is very practical, and it can even hold 300 lbs (which is more helpful than I expected). Other hardcovers can cost you another grand. It was a great investment for me by making my truck far more practical

I love the idea of this filp-up. Install was easy and straight forward. Now that I have been using it for 6 months or so I find that it will leak in the rain. Nothing I seem to be able to do stops the leak. I can make it worse but not stop it. Took 2 stars for the leaking.

Live in CA, wanted to avoid people tearing open a soft top to see what’s inside, did not want a retractable because there’s not a lot of bed in the first place and didn’t want to lose any more space. So, trifold was the way to go. I wanted a well made one that did not occlude the theirs light when flipped up. It was between this one and another cheaper one. But that one had huge clamps to hold the cover down. Those clamps would get into the way of the sliding tie downs in the bed. So, this was the winner. Easy install, looks great and makes the bed usable for running about Town buying Christmas presents. Not a water proof as I would have liked. I’m trying to track down the leak but haven’t found it yet. It’s a small leak so no biggie.

So far the only thing, I wish the front seal. Would go Al the way to the rear glass. The Maverick, is built different than other pickups. It doesn’t have a gap between the bed and rear glass. To help keep water from leaking in in the future and the foam seal wear. If they would had made the rubber seal that covers the foam seal, go up to the rear glass. Also the gap in the plastic bed edge cover is not protected from water leaking in. See photoSo far I very happy with the cover. It fairly easy to install yourself in less than a hour. I had to preposition the cover, I originally. Had it up touching the rear glass, than it didn’t seal the tailgate. It would be nice if they include new rubber hole seal, that they instruct to put in the tubing for the side rail drain tupeing. I didn’t want to cut a 1/8 inch hole in the rubber hole plug seal. The tube fit good in the bed corner drain that are in the bed already. I do have the spray in bed liner.

Great Option for DIYers
The tonneau cover fit my 2024 Maverick XLT with hard drop-in bed liner perfectly. My only issue with the packaging was the instructions were too generic (probably in order to apply to all truck installs), but as long as you read them remembering that the box of a Maverick is only 4.5′ long, and you don’t have extensions etc. you should be fine.Pro tip: Focus your care in 2 areas.First, make sure you clean off and apply the sticky seal strip properly (this is crucial to prevent water coming in from the back window right into your box)and second, really try to line up the rails so they are square (as shown in the instructions). You want the top of the rail (where the folding panels rest when closed) to be flat and level, and you want the perpendicular slats to be straight as well, so that when you close the panels, they clip properly. If you have a hard time with the panels not clipping (clicking tight) onto the rails, check that the rails aren’t sloped inwards into the box. If they are, the white clips of the panel won’t be able to clear the rail height on that angle. So just loosen off your clamps and readjust. It can be frustrating but trust me, worth taking the time, since when its installed properly, everything works so smoothly. The only other thing to consider are the drainage tubes. I ended up looking at an exact same model 2024 Maverick without a bed liner to see where those 2 holes are pre-drilled into the bed itself (the bare metal, not the liner) and just drilling the holes into the liner there to line up.Once I did that, the drain tubes fit perfectly through the liner and the box holes. I can see this being an issue though since the positioning of the holes makes it so the drain tubes could easily get squished or knocked out by putting things in your box, but if you’re careful, it should be fine. Also its not the end of the world if water gets in the box. It will drain naturally. Its only if you have things in there that you don’t want getting wet. But just FYI, there aren’t any 100% waterproof tonneau covers. Unless you go and add some sealant yourself to make it a permanent cover, you’ll always have a way for water to get in. However, if you’re wanting a permanent cover, you probably wouldn’t be buying this one…
