AEM is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I’ve had this series of gauges in two of my turbo cars. You want the best of the best, get Defi. You want quality at a decent price get AEM. You want to “mod” your car to look cool get glow shift. These gauges are very accurate. I replaced some dated autometer gauges in a project car to get a better reading at the track. Will be buying a few more of these for my track car. For anyone that cares swapping the gauge face color is super easy, just pull off the protective clear film before you seal the gauge with the bezel.

Very nice gauge, high quality and easy to mount. The extra face plates were a big sell for me so I could make them look how I wanted. The only complaint I have is the short sensor wire leads. I would have liked them to be about double the length to make routing into the engine bay easier.

Works great as an oil temp gauge (mounted in the oil pan). Very accurate resolution, almost never ‘flickers’ between two adjacent temperatures except in the very low range.
