Why Temperature Monitoring Matters
Excessive heat is the #1 killer of performance engines.
This gauge helps you detect:
-
Coolant overheating
-
Oil temp spikes during hard driving
-
Transmission fluid breakdown
-
Fuel temp rise causing vapor lock
-
Heat soak in boosted applications
-
Differential over-temp during track sessions
The 30-0302 gives real-time warnings before damage happens.
Ideal Applications
-
Turbo & supercharged builds (IAT & coolant safety)
-
Track cars (oil temp & coolant temp)
-
Drift cars (power steering & trans temps)
-
Drag cars (intake temp & coolant stabilization)
-
Street performance cars
-
Swapped vehicles
-
Flex-fuel / E85 systems (fuel temp critical for ethanol)

I’m very happy with the purchase, it arrived quickly and everything was in perfect condition and complete

Just got this gauge for my car, got it installed and I gotta say its pretty nice. Its comes with everything you need and the wiring harness is long enough to reach pretty much any point in the engine compartment. Easy to hookup and the manual that comes with it is pretty easy to follow. I went ahead and plugged in my OBD2 scanner and pulled up the live data for the ECT sensor and compared that reading with the one on my AEM temp gauge and they matched up perfectly. I can give one piece of solid advice to anyone wanting a temp gauge for their vehicle, dont cheap out on chinese no name gauges….they will fail within a year or two. Bite the bullet and spend the money on one of these gauges, you wont regret it. This gauge also has a warning and peak function. It’ll basically warn you by blinking rapidly once its reached the temp youve programmed it too. Overall very nice gauge.

Works great, love these x series guages!! Only downside is that it doesnt come with the faceplate i needed. I had to buy the extra faceplate for oil temp, at this price youd think they at least have the oil temp, but i cant give it 4 stars just for that.

I bought both the 30-301 and 30-302 (this part). The LEDs on the 302 only have a dot in the middle of each number segment lit, nor the entire segment like the 301. 302 is practically unreadable when driving Tried calling AEM CS multiple times, small staff, hard to contact.Edit – user error… accidentally left diffuser out on 302. Updated rating to 4. Docked 1 star due to very long hold times.Edit – sensor failed after about a year.

Bought for my brother. He loves it.

The item I received had been around the block…a couple times. Fittings were missing, the wiring harness was cut, and the gauge just displayed “8. 8.” no matter what buttons were pushed. Returned and going to try again…

AEM shows oil temp picture and sends water temp faceplate gauge. They should make it clear that this ships as a water temp gauge and show that in its picture. Similarly the faceplates necessary are described as white but in theory includes the black ones.
