Overview & Why It’s Worth It

If you’ve got a 3.0L V6 Accord (or Acura TL of the same vintage) — the factory air-box setup is decent, but it’s not screaming “race car inhale” at you. • Engineered to add horsepower and reduce restriction compared to OEM air intakes
  • All AEM Air Intakes come with a lifetime DRYFLOW Synthetic air filter with great filtration
  • Guaranteed for the life of your car or truck
  • Manufactured in the USA

Vehicle Fitment:

2003-2006 Honda Accord (EX, LX, SE) 3.0L V6 (J30A4/J30A5)
2007 Honda Accord EX-L 3.0L V6

Key Features

  • Patented dual-chamber design: two diameters and lengths of tubing intended to create multiple sound / flow waves for improved power curve.

  • Oversized AEM Dryflow washable synthetic filter (no oil, reusable).

  • Mandrel-bent aluminum piping finished in gun-metal grey powder coat. Adds durability + looks.

  • Designed to accommodate factory emissions/PCV/breather hoses so fitment is clean.

AEM Air Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. AEM intake systems are designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to fit specific cars and trucks.

Performance Benefits (For The Accord V6)

  • Better throttle response — once you hit the gas pedal you’ll feel less “lag” from the intake side.

  • Potential horsepower/torque gains through improved airflow and reduced restriction.

  • Enhanced engine sound: more aggressive induction noise means your car finally sounds like it’s serious (even if you still drop the kids at hockey practice afterwards).

  • Reusable filter means fewer consumable costs over time.

These air intakes usually include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning. Most AEM intake systems use mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes, powder coated heat shields, and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature.

Installation & Fitment Notes

  • Expect about 90-minutes if you’ve got basic tools and moderate skill. (Since you’re an IT engineer, you’ll probably finish quicker than most.)

  • Fits 2003-2006 Accord EX/LX/SE with 3.0L V6 and 2007 Accord EX-L 3.0L V6. Confirm your engine code (J30A4 / J30A5) before ordering.

  • California/emissions legality: This part is listed with CARB EO number D-670-15.

  • Make sure intake piping doesn’t interfere with hood clearance or sensors; sometimes aftermarket brackets or minor adjustments are needed for a clean install.

The design and components of each intake system vary so consult the installation instructions for more information on the contents of each part number. AEM manufactures a variety of intake kit styles including short ram intakes, cold air intakes, dual-chamber intakes, Brute Force intakes for trucks and SUV’s, and Brute Force HD intakes for diesel applications.

Final Verdict

If you’re driving a 3.0L V6 Accord (2003-07) and you want a clean, high-quality intake upgrade that actually delivers on looks and performance — the AEM 24-6110C is a strong pick. It hits the “bolt-on but meaningful” category without going full aftermarket rabbit hole.

The intake itself is excellent quality! The filter looks cheap but apparently is really great (comparing AEM to K&N and similars).Installation was easy enough. Need to remove front bumper, no need to remove wheel or get the car in jack stands.Removing the original intake is easy. Start by removing the bumper, then removing the resonator (big black box under the bumper), then remove the filter box in the engine bay.Installation of the AEM intake is basically following the instructions that come in the package. But basically is removing a couple of tubings (breather from engine to intake, oil vapors; and a cooling tubing from throttle body to cooling system).Installing the intake was easy but for some reason there is a bolt and nut that didn’t quite match as expected or as the instructions indicated. I mean the nut and bolt that you need to secure the end of the intake to the chassis. I tried my best to secure it but after a couple of runs, i can hear that the bolt kinda came loose. I’m gonna fix it during the weekend. This does not affect performance at all, it’s just so it stays secured.I added some before and after photos so everyone can have a peek at what to expect.Even though i faced that problem with the bolt that didn’t quite match the hole, i give it 5 stars because i’m almost sure that i might have done something wrong or need to do some adjustment on the alignment of the intake to match the hole, so probably my own fault. Either way, i fully recommend this product. In terms of performance and noise, i also have a cut-out exhaust, replacing the catalytic converter so when the cutout is open, i can barely hear the intake. When it’s closed, i can hear the intake and the intake noise is really good, some times it even sounds a bit like a supercharger lolIn terms of performance, if there is any improvement (which i guess 5-10 hp increase), it is barely noticeable. It already is a 240+ hp car, so 10hp increase is nothing really. But i guess with the cutout in open mode + this intake, i gained some torque and some hp, but nothing that really changes much.I will try to do some 0-100 kph runs and upload the results comparing to when i did some runs with no mods.In summary, great product, would definitely recommend it, would definitely buy again.

I bought this for my 2007 Acura TL Base. Amazon says it will not fit because it is for the 03-07 Honda Accord V6 but it fits perfectly. I bought this intake from the great reviews from the TL community and the science behind the V2 intake, and also because my stock intake tube had ripped for the 3rd time which is notorious for that. I had deleted my stock intake resonator which made the induction noise sound loud especially when VTEC engages. After installing this intake all I can say… Is this thing pops VTEC HARRD. I thought deleting my resonator made my induction sound loud but the V2 just made it sound WAY LOUDER. It has a nice throaty growl sound. Now, Performance wise FYI.. I am tuned with flashpro before installing this intake. After a test drive before tuning, I noticed the throttle response was a nice improvement and it picked up so much smoother. After engaging in VTEC it pulled a little bit better. Not bad for not being tuned. Now after the tune is where I felt the difference. It pulls and picks up sooo much better a night and day difference, the J series love to breath. I also noticed my intake air temperature has decreased by 13-15 degrees compared to my stock intake resonator delete. That is pretty amazing for a aftermarket intake. All in all its worth every single penny I never looked into getting this intake for how expensive it is but I took a shot and I’m really glad that I bought it. I recommend buying it through Amazon which is a lot cheaper than any other site. Another thing, you will gain the max benefit with this intake with a tune. It still does really well without a tune but it is sooo much better with a tune.

Did you ever do something that you were just thrilled you made that choice? Maybe a grin from ear to ear for a day at a time? I bought this one mod to my otherwise stock Honda Accord coupe, and what a difference this change makes, every day. When you’re not ‘on’ the gas, it’s virtually undetectible. Completely stock sounding and quiet. When on the gas (passing gear, full acceleration) it allows my engine to make the most wonderful noise I have ever heard from my Honda. It’s like a different car! The power increase is sweet, the new engine tone is very entertaining and certainly not expected from an otherwise very sedate Honda Accord coupe. The wife is no longer entertained, but I get looks and a few furled eyebrows from the the occasional arrogant but unsuspecting passing ‘victim’ in their luxo-“sports-sedan” (ya, you own the road, but I just owned you). I don’t endorse street racing, so please, keep your enthusiasm under control when driving. The fit and finish are outstanding, the filter is great and the installation was reasonably easy (although it to me and my brother in law about 3 hours, because I am slow). Lifetime warranty and great tech support by email or phone if you call AEM during business hours. If you are not sure, about the cost for the value, consider that this one small change makes 10HP more in my car. Other than this, my car is bone stock. If I only got 2 HP more, and all that great engine music, it’s worth my money. I probably get more smiles per gallon than miles, but really, isn’t that what motoring is all about?Travel happy! (even if it’s at 5mph on the I-110 during rush-hour).Steve
