I love the way this installs easily. Sounds so nice to hear that turbo and engine! Was a quick job, just cut and assemble the seals and plastic AEM cut out before starting. Only thing is the heatshield came a little bent and a few scraps in spots that you cant see when installed. I had to bend the screw tabs for the cover and it was a pain to get them in. Haven’t had a chance to try out much yet will update later! 07Dec2024.

I hate the way they do the star ratings on Amazon because I truly believe this sets somewhere around a 4.2.I’m not a mechanic but I didn’t notice any quality problems and I’ve seen some reviews saying that it had bad build quality.I will say that the packaging left a little to be desired as to metal pieces were shoved into each other and left scratches but it was on the non-visible portion when installed.I don’t actually believe air intakes give any power increases but I definitely noticed that the overall sound quality while driving was improved.I wouldn’t necessarily say that it was easy to install but as previously stated I’m a electrician by trade and I was able to get through it despite having very little mechanical knowledge. Also if anyone is considering this product and reading this entire review I do have a YouTube video with how I hydro dipped the casing and installed everything and the lessons I learned from doing that. Search Chad big dumb channel.

I don’t think there is any quality control at all. The pipe opening was dented and oblong instead of round. I didn’t receive any fasteners. The welds were very sloppy with poor penetration. The small opening for the BOV was poorly drilled and not deburred. These small metal burrs could break off and damage the engine, so beware! Also, some of the welded parts were left completely unpainted, while other areas were over-sprayed. This also turns out to be the same part number that’s stamped on my friend’s K&N intake. I’m just surprised at the complete lack of pride in the product…and just to make things worse, they just raised their price ~20% in the 3 weeks it took me to finally get my refund.

The new added power is what my Sorrento needed. This makes the turbo sound and feel amazing! This a perfect mod for an already amazing ride

Extremely poor quality. I purchased 3 and all are damaged in one way or another. Welds are terrible with metal falling off. I ordered the k&n version and it was just as bad.

Stu Stu, blow off, the suction when the turbo is winding up… It might get better gas mileage with this, but the novelty of the noises has not worn off so I still punch it and it’s fairly average. It certainly is more responsive than oem, whether one thinks that’s more power or not is up to them. It’s not cheap, but I have no regrets. Highway is just over 30mpg right now; city 21-22mpg.
