This Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance.
Installation Notes

Designed as a direct-fit bolt-on for the 2019-21 Jetta 1.4T. Confirm engine size and trim before ordering.

Installation time: roughly 1 hour with standard hand tools.

After installation, inspect all clamps and hoses, and confirm filter clearance within the engine bay.

Since it’s CARB approved for qualifying vehicles (EO D-670-26), check applicability for your state/vehicle.
The air filter is placed into the original air box space and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The air intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine’s factory emissions control devices including the breather hose. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100, 000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools and it is backed by AEM’s Lifetime Limited . Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Wow…. Where do I start….. I simply installed this with my brother and mind you the install took us 45 minutes!!! and wow the difference between the stock Airbox and this after market one is out of this world!!! literally!!! I am so happy with how this came out and especially how it looks Aesthetically. My car is a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta base model 1.4T and this was a smooth fit overall! and the sound is absolutely incredible! The response and even Cold start make this car sound and feel like an R line.After the install I noticed some codes popped up on my dash and I freaked out but with a little research I found a good solution that worked 100%. Turn the steering wheel completely to the right and then completely to the left while the car is on and the lights will automatically go away.

Gives your 1.4t a nice little growl. You’re not going to notice any change in performance but the sound is satisfying. East to install if you have basic mechanical skill.

Please read my review before listening to the Amazon car fit guide. It IS a very useful fitment guide, it’s just not completely up to date. It does indeed fit a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4t, that is what I have and I confirmed fitment with 3 European car sites before placing my order with Amazon. When you open the box it does say on the white instruction sheet “for 19-21 jetta 1.4t”. Now to my honest review…the intake system is very well set up for these cars, the gun metal finish on the intake tube will definitely stand out in your engine bay. It comes with ALL necessary hardware and detailed instructions for the typical D.I.Y. person. You will not be disappointed by this system as it enables your car to breathe much better for a noticeable difference in acceleration. And you will have increased turbo sound. Thank you for your time and I give this kit a very solid 8/10.

Easy install and satisfying results? What more can I say? I would easily recommend this.All it took was 15 minutes out of my day to make my car SOUND faster than every other car on the road. Nothing beats the sound of a turbo, even a small one, and this makes sure you hear it. Now all I have to do is make my car actually faster than every other car on the road 😉

I ordered for a vw Jetta the website said it was the one for my ride but when I went to install it it didn’t fit then they wanted to charge me a big restocking fee if I returned it I won’t ever spend money with them ever again

Super easy install thanks to the instructions that are included. I was rushing around and from step one until done and finished within 30-35 minutes. The low rpm’s are very loud but it all blends in at higher range. And the turbo flutter. Chefs kiss. Lots of stickers and a license plate frame too!
