EDIT: After messing around with the intake I was able to get it to fit nicely and the way it is supposed to. I did not have it 5 stars because I had to fidget with it to get it right, but the rubbing issue was all on me.I bought this intake for my 2019 GLI. The installation took some time but not too bad. After the install, I noticed the filter was rubbing against the rightmost bracket point. I tried to adjust the filter so the corner of the bracket would fall in between the ridges of the filter. A few days later I check the filter and the friction was creating a rip on the filter. I checked the installation again to make sure I did it right and I did everything as instructed. Very disappointed as I REALLY enjoy the intake noises from this intake.

DOES NOT INCREASE POWER!!!The claim it does contradicts every physics law.But it does increase the placebo affect on the passengers and makes blow off valve noises which I personally find cool.

Surprisingly good
This was for my MK7 VW Golf R. The fitment was perfect, installation was easy. I did not expect this to add any power and I doubt it has. However the swooshing and blowoff sounds of the turbo are much more pronounced and that’s what I was looking for. One unexpected side benefit is that it seems to have improved fuel economy. Price-wise compared to much more expensive ones I think this one is a steal, every bit as good as the more expensive open-element cold air intakes.
