If you are using this for a 2nd gen Cruze it fits perfect over the AEM or even a K&N filter.snug and will not come off on it’s own. Great for someone like me who has to have his car outside in the elements. Water just bounces right off.

Yea worked good

I was skeptical that it wouldn’t affect my AFR, but I saw no effect whatsoever on my accessport. I also saw some water droplets on it after driving in a storm, and had zero DAM drop. I would definitely recommend.

Make sure you clean this every once in a while. I hadnt noticed that mine had gotten dirty from what I presume were puddles (live in CA, and there was no rain at the time this happened) and on a cold night the car stalled on me at a red light. Started it back up CEL came on, and fortunately I had a wifi scanner always connected to my car and I saw the engine was running to rich. So i figured the engine was not getting enough air and pulled off the cover and sure enough it was stained fairly badly. Cleared the code started her up, no more CEL, no more backfiring, and no more stalling. Cleaned the wrap put it back on and havent had the problem since (and it has rained now).

Fitment is perfect for my cold air intake. I don’t have to worry about rainy days on the highway.

I’ve had my AEM intake for a year now and I’ve always worried about the dreaded hydrolock, where the air filter gets wet/saturated and can no longer deliver air to the engine. I figure this is cheap insurance to put my fear at ease whenever it rains. I’ve been through 2 storms since installation and if anything, I don’t worry as much about hydrolock. I know now that casual moisture contact should not be a problem. btw, installation was a snap, it takes longer to get the filter out.

Works perfectly, I could finally drive my car in rain without problems
I used to have water come into intake and cause all sorts of problems with MAF redings, this thing completely solved the problem!
