What Engine Mounts Actually Do
Engine mounts secure the engine to the chassis while absorbing vibration and torque movement. When they fail:
-
Excess vibration enters the cabin
-
You feel harsh engagement during shifts
-
You hear clunks during acceleration
-
Drivetrain alignment suffers
On the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35, worn mounts are extremely common after 100k+ miles.

great mounds for oem replacement
pain in the a$& to do. honestly i was just broke and bought these. they still work great after 7500km but if you’re reading this… please save you and your mechanic a lifetime of doing it again and get polyurethane or solid motor mounts instead. but for oem replacement these work good. but still…. do what i say it will save time and money because i will have to replace these in the near future as i drive my car on track/daily.
