Why a 400 LPH Inline Pump Matters
Once you start pushing real power, your stock fuel system becomes the weak link.
Without enough fuel:
- Lean AFR conditions
- Power drop under load
- Engine damage risk
- Inconsistent performance
Because running out of fuel at full boost is not a “tuning strategy.”
Inline Fuel Pump Design
Flexible installation:
- Mounts externally along fuel lines
- Works as a primary or secondary pump
- Ideal for custom fuel system setups
Because not every build fits inside a tank.
AEM’s 400lph High Glide, High Pressure Fuel Pump is in a position to supporting over 1,200 HP most often aspirated and a whopping 860 HP at 30 psi boost! It flows 400 lph (100 gph) at 40 PSI, 340 lph (90 gph) at 73 PSI, and 270 lph (71 gph) at 120 PSI. Complete Glide curves from 35 to 120 PSI and current draw vs fuel pressure charts are to be had in the specs tab. Out of doors Diameter: 60mm OD
AEM 50-1005 Fuel Pump – Key Features & Functions
400 LPH High Flow Output
Built for serious performance:
- Supports high-horsepower applications
- Provides consistent fuel volume
- Ideal for turbo and supercharged builds
Because big power needs big fuel.
The AEM 400lph High Glide Fuel Pump is designed to be used with gasoline; Alcohol fuels can be utilized, but pump life will probably be diminished; The inlet thread is a -10 AN female ORB (O-ring port fitting) and the discharge is a female -6 AN ORB (O-ring port fitting)
E85 & Ethanol Compatible
Ready for modern fuels:
- Designed for E85 and ethanol blends
- Corrosion-resistant internals
- Reliable under aggressive fuel conditions
Because ethanol will expose weak components fast.
A male -6 to -8 AN discharge fitting with integral high pressure check valve, terminal nuts, terminal boots and installation instructions are included
Stable Pressure Under Load
Consistency matters:
- Maintains fuel pressure during boost
- Supports injector performance
- Prevents fuel starvation
Because pressure drop = power drop.
Durable Performance Construction
Built for real use:
- High-quality internal components
- Designed for continuous operation
- Handles high-demand environments
Because this pump doesn’t get to take breaks.
Designed for high output naturally aspirated and forced induction EFI vehicles
Popular “044 Style” physical configuration but with AN inlet & discharge port connections
Why You Need This AEM 50-1005 Fuel Pump
If you’re building for power, this is one of the most important upgrades you can make.
The AEM 50-1005 Fuel Pump gives you:
- Massive fuel delivery for high-performance builds
- Reliable pressure under boost and load
- Compatibility with E85 and ethanol fuels
- Flexible installation for custom setups
Because your fuel system should never be the limiting factor.
Ideal Applications
- High-horsepower turbo builds
- Supercharged setups
- E85 and flex-fuel systems
- Track and race cars
- Custom fuel system builds
Each and every pump in my view tested to Glide minimum of 400lph (100gph) at 40 PSI
Final Verdict
The AEM 50-1005 400 LPH Inline Fuel Pump is built for serious performance setups that demand reliable fuel delivery.
It delivers the fuel your engine needs to make power safely and consistently—no drop-off, no excuses.
Because horsepower is easy. Supplying it with fuel is the real challenge.
