How to Fix P0075 OBDII Nissan 350Z Check Engine Code

What it Fixes (aka why you’re here)

  • Random stalling

  • No-start issues

  • Misfires that make you question life choices

  • Check Engine Light with crank correlation codes

Hitachi’s line of vehicle sensors are crucial to an efficiently operating vehicle. Whether is it an Automatic Transmission Speed Sensor, Crankshaft Angle Sensor, Camshaft Angle Sensor, Knock Sensor, Pressure Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, or Oil Level Sensor, you can rely on accurate readings and signals to be transmitted to your vehicles’ Electrical Control Unit (ECU) for an efficiently running system. Hitachi uses premium components and materials in the construction of all sensors extending the service interval of the product. Designed to meet the exact needs of each specific vehicle, Hitachi’s Sensors are the premium choice.

What the Hitachi CPS0006 Does

The crankshaft position sensor monitors crankshaft speed and position, feeding real-time data to the ECU for:

  • Ignition timing

  • Fuel injection sequencing

  • Engine synchronization

When it fails, the engine loses its mind. When it’s replaced with a quality sensor like this one, everything magically behaves again. Funny how that works.

Common Symptoms of a Failing Crankshaft Position Sensor

  • Intermittent stalling (usually at the worst possible moment)

  • Hard starts or complete no-start condition

  • Rough idle or random misfires

  • Check Engine Light with crankshaft correlation or RPM signal codes

Crank Position Sensor

The Keys To Precise Ignition and Fuel Injection Timing

Together, the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors send the vital signals that keep your car’s camshaft and crankshaft in sync. Camshaft sensors inform the ECU of the position of the engine’s camshaft, while crankshaft sensors signal the position and rotational speed (RPMs) of the engine’s crankshaft. As perhaps the most important of your vehicle’s engine management sensors, they should only be replaced with premium parts.

Every Astemo Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensor Carries On Our Tradition Of Excellence:

  • Both our camshaft and crankshaft sensor testing regimens exceed typical operating conditions – we test our products in extreme conditions to verify their accuracy, quality, and reliability
  • Our camshaft / crankshaft position sensors are designed to meet the OE output signals and error tolerances to ensure an accurate RPM signal and proper adjustments of the timing system
  • Mechanical fitting accuracy guaranteed

This info applies only when used in a Infiniti G35, other applications may vary. The sensor is an exact OEM replacement and goes right in. This does NOT include an O-Ring BUT when used as the crankshaft position sensor on the G35/350Z (Located at the bottom of the bell housing behind the steering rack) no O-Ring is required for this application, the factory Nissan part that this replaced did not use an O-ring either. Overall good part, Hitachi is the OE manufacturer and the car runs well with this new sensor. Well worth the extra $20 for the peace of mind going with OE over some random brand and comes in at about half the cost of a Nissan branded part from my local dealership.

I put this in and it did not work. It caused me to take apart and test my power management box, and test the rest of the crankshaft circuit with my oscilloscope, only to find out that everything works fine. I must have been sent a faulty sensor.

I installed this in my 2004 Infiniti FX35 and it seems to working ok, looked just like the one I removed, which I’m pretty sure was original. There were a few steel shavings on the one I removed (probably from the starter teeth on the flex plate), I wonder if that was the real problem. I don’t understand how you can buy a Chinese (I assume) version of this part for $16.50 here on Amazon, at the Nissan dealer for $246, and pretty much at every price point in between. The box on this one was marked “made in Japan”.

This did “Not” fit my 2004 350z in spit of Amazon saying it did. Its nearly identical but the tab did not line up. Hitachi was great and had me the correct CPS0008 shipped to me the very next day. Works perfect. Stopped dying and wow I got my power back.

I got this part on a 2004 350Z bc the engine stalled and the ses light came on. After doing hours of research, people in forums/Autozone, and Oreilly did a code read and recommened this part. It was also recommended to buy oem. Apparently, Hitachi is the brand that makes the oem part. My box said made in Japan, so im hoping the part is real since you can easily swap a part or box. So far so good. It took about 30 mins to switch the part. Very easy job. Good price and value. My engine now runs smoother with no rough idiling, no timing belt squeaks, and the ses light hasn’t come on again.

Did not chance it with cheaper alternatives. 5 min install. P0335 code gone. Good product.
