I was having trouble finding a great oil filter, at a great value, that compared to my wife’s OEM Hyundai oil filter. This FRAM oil filter does a great job providing OEM quality while being priced at a fair value. So far we have been using this filter for a month, with no initial issues or leaks.It is rated for a longevity that is greater than the oil change intervals I plan on doing for my wife’s 2016 Hyundai Accent, and performs great with synthetic oil types. I paired it with Valvoline’s High Mileage Synthetic Blend, and it’s working great! No oil pressure issues or leaks. Extremely happy with this filter and will buy again!

I have used Fram Extra Guard filters on my cars many times. After 18 years and 145K miles, the cars still run fine and make good gas mileage. I change filters every 7,500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. No issues with leaking or anything else.

Received the filter, Seems to be well-constructed. Packaging looked brand new however filter didn’t have normal plastic seal, paint chips around filter rim. Filter does seem to be new. Installed and running well so far (approx 250 miles in) using it. Only critique is quality control from above mentioned issues and wish texture on filter was a little more coarse for more grip. Would consider purchasing the filter again.
