Product description

Why Alternator Performance Matters
Your alternator is responsible for supplying power to nearly every electrical system once the engine is running, including:
-
Ignition and fuel systems
-
Engine control modules and sensors
-
Headlights and exterior lighting
-
Climate control and infotainment
-
Charging and maintaining the battery

When an alternator starts to fail, the battery is forced to compensate. Over time, this leads to:
-
Repeated battery failures
-
Dim or flickering lights
-
Electrical warning lights
-
Intermittent starting issues
-
Reduced vehicle reliability
Replacing the alternator early prevents these cascading problems and protects the battery from unnecessary wear.

Designed for Correct Charging Output
This alternator is built to deliver factory-correct amperage and voltage output for Hyundai and Kia 2.0L applications. That means:
-
Stable voltage at idle and cruising speeds
-
Proper battery recharge after cold starts
-
Reduced electrical stress on wiring and components
It’s the right balance — not underpowered, not excessive — exactly what these platforms were designed to run.

Built for Reliability and OE Fitment
The 11311N alternator features:
-
High-efficiency copper windings
-
Internal voltage regulator for consistent output
-
Precision-balanced internals for smooth operation
-
OE-style mounting points and electrical connections
Installation is straightforward, using factory hardware with no modifications required. Bolt it in, tension the belt, and get back on the road.

Made my car run back like new

It literally arrived the next day, got it installed the following day and so far so good. No complaints, the mechanic had no issues with it and for reference I have a 2011 Kia Soul.

This is a decent alternator among budget-tier Chinese options. When tested, it hit its rated output (92A actual), didn’t get extremely hot (though it was on the warmer side), had an acceptable amount of ripple for a budget-tier, and wasn’t terribly loud. The structural build quality is fairly decent, as well. Again, for budget-tier.I test a lot of these things and do a lot of automotive work, so I know what I’m looking at. Is this a cheaply made alternator? Yes, but that’s what you’re going to get for this price range. There’s a reason OEM alternators cost so much more. It’s not just greed (although part of it is). These cheap Chinese ones use low-tier components like regulator circuitry and rectifier diodes. But relative to other budget-tiers I’ve reviewed, this one is a bit better than most.At $80, it’s a reasonable value for what you’re getting. If you live in a hot climate, though, I’d probably keep searching. This one runs a bit hot at higher loads, and paired with very hot summers… you’ll likely be replacing it again sooner rather than later. Heat is what kills these things in nearly all cases.

For Kia soul in 2010 and 2011, there are 2 different possible plugs for the wiring. So make sure to check to see if this is model is the correct one for your vehicle. The quality of this alternator seems to be really good, and I’m impressed. It fits perfectly, works great, and maintains a steady 14.3v.Installation and removal can be a bit tedious due to the way Kia designed this engine. But it’s not difficult. I definitely recommend watching a tutorial on how to do it on YouTube.BE SAFE! Always when working with electrical things in your vehicle, disconnect your battery FIRST! (As well as the capacitor for your aftermarket audio setup if you have one)This is definitely a good deal, and less than half of the cost of the cheapest one available at my local auto parts store. As always if I encounter any issues or think of anything else to add I’ll update this review!

Buying OEM replacement parts can really be expensive so aftermarket parts are your best bet. It doesn’t mean there are any less quality than the OEM part. Most of the time is the same part with just not the car’s name on it. This alternator is a direct replacement and it outputs the proper voltage and the only test of its durability is time and that will not happen for a while I hope! It’s not hard to replace a couple bolts tension the belt and you’re all done and it’s easy to get at so why pay a high price at a dealership or mechanic when you can do it on your own.

Excellent alternator that fit perfectly in my 2011 Soul. Output voltage is steady, and the bearings run quietly. The connections and pulley matched the original, making install simple. Great build quality and charging performance right out of the box. Great value

The bearing in my alternator started making a grinding noise, so I knew it was just a matter of time. I ordered this replacement, and it arrived well-packed and in good condition. It appears to be a decent quality part. It directly replaced the original alternator without any problems. It’s charging, it’s quiet, the price was good, I’m happy.
