Well I gotta this alternator for my 2010 nissan maxima after previously buying one for a nissan altima. It’s states does fit my maxima and it does bolt up and fits fine but it has an intermittent charge it will charge for a brief time then just shuts off and stops charging. After further investigations other people have had the same issue with aftermarket alternators for the nissan maxima. Not sure if it’s the alternator or not but ordered one from the dealer and it works fine, it’s just way more expensive.

The other day you sent me and had it put in it took the shop five hours. Put it in it’s pulling the belt towards the motor. It took out my power steering unit how to do power steering unit put in a new belt put on now it’s pulling the belt off again. I do not think you sold me the right alternator.

It came with a faulty regulator but the return process is a nightmare now I understand why they say buy local. Even though it’s not this company’s fault that made the alternator . I was willing to give it another shot & just exchanged it . Amazon said had to be a return first then buy another . Problem is they had the package picked the shipping company scanned it in 2 other city’s and lost it . Now gotta wait 30 days before even getting a refund . SMH at Amazon

Just bolted this to my son’s 2016 Murano to replace his old one. Installation was pretty simple as it is with all alternators – just take good pics of the serpentine belt so you can get it back on correctly and there’s nothing to adjust like old alternators because a tensioner handles all that. Maybe the hardest part was bending the tensioner out of the way to free the belt. Fit is perfect with the bolt holes aligning just fine and existing hardware is correct length.Pulley is in correct spot in relation to the serpentine belt position and to the correct width. You can replace that belt while you’re doing this and we did so – it’s something I recommend because it’s a vital belt and if you need to replace an alternator, then you almost certainly need to replace the serpentine belt. The new alternator has better function than the one we replaced, even when that old one was new – this one has higher amp output and really started charging the battery fast fast fast when we fired up the car after installing. This is not a costly alternator but it sure runs like one making it a pretty good value – and my son is very happy that he won’t be jump-starting his battery after this!
