Outstanding lighting system, especially for the price. Controllers are easy to use, and the numerous modes and color combinations make it easy to create a different effect every time. I chose the aluminum bars, as I felt they would be more durable than flexible strips. These bars seem very well made. All connections are sturdy, and the sealed light compartments look like they will hold up well to the elements, road grime and debris, etc. I liked this kit so much that I ordered the expansion kit that includes 2 flexible strips, and extra long cords and splitters. So far I have light bars mounted under the sides and under the nose, and lower profile flexible strips under the front edge of the hood to light up the engine bay. I’m still trying to decide where to mount the final light bar… most likely in the trunk. Some reviewers couldn’t get music sync to work, but I had no such problems. In fact, I may even wrap the controller box lightly to decrease sensitivity a little, to make the lights react only to the harder hitting bass rhythms. Don’t get me wrong… music sync works great. The change would just be more my preference. I have two other friends with similar lights, one with this Opt-7 kit and one with another brand. The Opt-7 controllers are of much sturdier construction, and the overall impression is that the entire Opt-7 kit is of noticeably higher quality. I’d highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to add some brilliant color and light to their vehicle. Plus, aside from the great quality and outstanding brightness, the included parts and wiring made installation a breeze. The toughest part was simply figuring out how to route the wires to where I wanted everything. After that, it was pretty much a “plug and play” setup.

Overview:Pros->Great build quality>Easy installation (but can be time consuming)>Very bright at night>Easy to control (using both the main remote control and key fob)>Uses barely any battery>Will work on almost any carCons->Connectors are flimsy (the metal prongs inside)>Cables aren’t long enough for longer cars>Key fob controller has a short range>Is barely visible during daytime (which really is no problem)>I had mounting issues on my vehicle on the sides (results may vary for your vehicle)In depth review:I had been looking at tens of different underglow kits on amazon, and across the Web. Most scared me with their cheap prices (some costing only $30!) and others just did not have any good reviews at all. I came across this Opt7 kit about a month ago and instantly could tell that this was no ordinary kit. This one seemed to have much higher reviews, and much better advertising than any other sub $100 kit. So I purchased it, planning on doing the full installation myself. First I tested it with the 12v outlet to make sure that all of the strips and cables worked, which they did and the brightness sitting on the roof of the car during broad daylight surprised me (however once they are under the car it is a different story during the day). I played around with all of the features and functions before I began the installation to make sure everything was on tip top shape. Then I began to plan the runs for the cables going from the control box to the light strips. About the light strips, holy cow those things are robust! They are encased in a metal sheathing with some sort of clear rubbery coating on the side where the lights shine and to this day mud, dirt, and debris have not affected them. When I was first installing the front and back I made a bit of a mistake. It was getting dark outside so I wanted to move in the car to work on it where there was light. Well I accidently ran over the cable that I had attached to the rear strip and it yanked the strip out of the spot I just had it sitting in and bent the entire strip into a soft Crescent shape. I almost freaked out until I bent it right back into its normal shape and it functioned just fine! However one of the metal prongs inside of the connecter at the control box got messed up by this mishap and caused all of the blue diodes in any strip connected to it not to function, but that was fine by me as I only intended to use green anyways. Everything else during installation was smooth up until it came to mounting the side strips. My 2011 Honda Accord Ex sedan had no grommets, holes, or spots to attach the strip to. There was also a rubberized coating on the entire bottom of the sides of the car that would not allow me to drill into the metal to mount the strips. So I would up using zip ties, which have held very very well, and different kinds of tape on the ends, which has not faired so well. Every other day one of the strips would lose its tape do to rain, or wind and it would hang about 3 centimeters from where I had it mounted. Eventually I was able to use packing tape (of all of the tapes for some reading that was the best and is still holding on after 2 weeks) to hold up the strips. After that I had to run the rear strip and found out that the cable was about 2 feet short of where I needed it to be. Maybe if I had mounted the control box in a more optimal place it would have worked but I already had a cozy spot for it near the top of the engine bay (another thing: it is mush easier to just mount the control box in the engine bay somewhere near your fuse box, rather than inside the car). It is worth mentioning that my car is longer than the average sedan by about 8 inches so your milage may vary. So I just bought an extender cable that was in the recommended section under this product and it worked great! Everything functions except for the rear strip’s blue diodes but that is from my dumb self messing it up. I would highly recommend this product as it definitely turns heads and is a great way to personalize your car without doing anything to drastic to the vehicle.

The best!
Easily the best underglow money can buy!Not exaggerating, I’ve had loads in my 11 years of driving. These are solid in aluminium casing, silicone tight to prevent water or condensation within the LEDs.The power supply box has water tight features and it’s just an all around insane bit of kit.

Great product, great service
Installed this kit on my 07 Dodge Magnum and was really impressed with results and pleased with ease of installation, but what really pleased me was the service and customer support of this company. I had issues with my rear light bar which was unfortunately self induced, I contacted company and in no time they replied and helped me with getting a replacement. Highly recommend this product
