Why Accurate Oil Pressure Monitoring Matters
Oil pressure drops are warnings of:
-
Bearing wear
-
Oil starvation
-
Pickup tube failure
-
Cavitation at high RPM
-
Aeration during cornering
-
Low oil level
-
Turbocharger oil supply issues
Ignoring oil pressure is how engines become “yard art.”
This gauge tells you the truth instantly.
Ideal Uses
-
Turbo builds (single, twin, OEM+ or big turbo)
-
High-horsepower E85 engines
-
Track and road race setups
-
Drift cars (high G-force = oil movement)
-
Drag applications
-
Daily-driven performance builds
Anywhere oil pressure matters—and that’s everywhere.
Installation Notes
-
Requires an AEM 0–150 PSI pressure sender
-
For oil pressure: never mount sensor directly onto the engine block (use a remote line)
-
Wire analog output if using ECU-based safeties
-
Keep all wiring away from heat sources
-
Standard 52mm gauge fitment
Typical install time: 30–60 minutes.

Great gauge and one of few that has a decent pressure sensor included. Looks great with the my other aem gauges

Easy install, plenty of length with wires and sensor
Josh Singh –
Extremely disappointed. Guage did not work properly. Gave me wrong oil pressure reading resulting in me spinning a bearning on my newly built car. Still to receive a replacement.
Anthony –
The gauge lights up well but says sens witch means sensor I heard some times from factor the wires can get mixed up

Great I love the aem gauge’s. Even more functions with the new x series gauge’s.

like most others have reported, the sensor failed after ~6 months. started reading crazy high, then just went crazy and stopped sending signal altogether. do yourself a favor and grab a spare from here:https://a.co/d/0U1aIC0

The gauge looks great in my 370z but the oil pressure was good for a couple months but then starting reading incorrectly and even read a pressure when the car was off.

These AEM gauges though supposidly the best out there if you read the forums for various cars you find that they tend to be unreliable either out of the box or after months or years of use. These are obviously fabricated with no quality control. Also the sending units also have a reputation of going out. I replaced the sending unit after getting a “SENSE” error on the gauge. That did not remedy the issue. Found after using a multimeter that the gauge itself had failed. Mine failed after 14 months of use. I cannot claim any warranty. and I am out $230. AEM has lost credibility. Unfortunately there are not much choice out there for 150 psi 52 mm gauges. I’ll keep looking.
