Choosing a shade
Light Smoke – ~48% VLT
Subtle and aggressive smoke shade perfect for all lights including headlights. Most popular for headlights.
Mid Smoke – ~24% VLT
Original lens color will be much darker but through when not lit. Use only on headlights with powerful HIDs, LEDs, or secondary lighting.
Dark Smoke – 12% VLT
Lenses will appear black when not lit. Gives a “murdered out” appearance. Will significantly impact headlight output.
About LightWrap
The same Luxe LightWrap used by professionals around the world is available direct to you! Our low-initial-tack acrylic adhesive allows you to lay the vinyl on a surface, then reposition it until the pattern is aligned with no wrinkles or air bubbles. Then simply apply heat and pressure to activate and flow the glue and the tint will stick firmly…. the last step to ensure the tint stays is to post heat it to 190deg F. When removed correctly LightWrap will not damage the light’s UV coating.
LightWrap comes in multiple shades to ensure you can comply with your local laws. We recommend only Light Smoke gloss on headlights as mid and dark smoke prohibit too much light and the stealth/textured films scatter the beam. For reflectors, side markers, and other lights any shade can be used. Light Smoke will look almost OEM, mid smoke will make your light a deep cherry red, and dark smoke looks black when the light is unlit.

Previously I used vivid tint and was partially successful. Luxe was sooo much easier to work with. It’s a little thinner and I believe that is the difference. It doesn’t scratch when I run my fingers over it, and a little heat will “heal” it from any creases. Good tint!!

Higher quality than expected and I needed more material than expected. For my 2016 BMW M235i I ordered 2 yards hoping that would do my headlights tail light and have left over material to do my side markers and rear red lights. I was only able to do my tail lights and all accent lights, and I have enough to do 1 headlight, but I’ll be ordering another 2 yards just in case.Keep in mind when ordering, you need extra material to pull and stretch to mold it properly.Thank you for the quality product!

All in all, it works like wrap, I’ve used it on multiple vehicles and don’t have complaints on my end. As far as the average person with no experience I think they would struggle.
