Why Upgrade to the Megan Racing MR-RT-TC05?
The factory Scion tC radiator was designed for normal driving — not for performance or long-term durability under stress. Over time, OEM radiators develop leaks, plastic tanks crack, and cooling efficiency declines. The Megan Racing MR-RT-TC05 solves all of these issues with robust materials, higher pressure tolerance, and improved fluid capacity.
This makes it an ideal choice for:
-
Track or spirited driving
-
Hot-climate conditions
-
Modified or boosted engines
-
Drivers seeking long-term reliability and efficiency
Installation and Maintenance Tips
Installation is straightforward — the MR-RT-TC05 bolts directly into factory mounting points using stock fans, hoses, and fittings. However, it’s crucial to:
-
Flush your cooling system before installation.
-
Bleed all air pockets from the coolant to prevent overheating.
-
Inspect coolant hoses and fans to ensure full system performance.
Regularly check coolant levels and inspect for leaks, especially after the first few hundred miles. With proper maintenance, this aluminum radiator will easily outlast your stock unit.
The Megan Racing Advantage
Megan Racing is known for offering high-performance automotive parts that blend quality, function, and affordability. The MR-RT-TC05 Radiator continues that reputation — delivering the cooling power you need without the high price tag of premium race-spec systems.
For enthusiasts who want reliability, performance, and peace of mind, this radiator is a no-brainer upgrade.
Final Thoughts
If you’re serious about protecting your Scion tC’s engine and unlocking consistent performance, the Megan Racing MR-RT-TC05 Aluminum Radiator is an essential upgrade. Its lightweight construction, superior cooling capability, and straightforward installation make it a perfect fit for both daily drivers and performance builds.
Keep your tC running cooler, stronger, and more efficiently — upgrade to the Megan Racing MR-RT-TC05 and experience the difference.
Cooling is absolutely crucial during high performance driving. Maintained high load, high RPM instances dramatically increases heat produced by the engine requiring a lot more from the vehicle’s cooling system.
Megan Racing Radiators are comprised completely of aluminum. From the tanks to the primary core. Aluminum tanks are a great upgrade over the plastic usually found on factory radiators which are known to crack and leak especially as they age. The larger heat exchanging core is not only more efficient at transferring heat from the coolant, but also increases total coolant carrying capacity.
Designed to as a complete bolt-on application, Our radiators are designed to comply with factory components such as fans and A/C condensers however due to the slight increase in overall size. Upgrading to high capacity, slim radiator fans is suggested.
Construction Design: Single Core 2-Row.
Light Weight Direct Bolt-On OEM Fitment or Replacement
Improves cooling efficiency by 35 – 45% temp. Compatible / Replacement For 2005-2010 tC (AT10 First Generation); Fits Manual Transmission ONLY
Aluminum radiators mark a modern advancement in cooling. Not only does the material dissipate heat at close to double the rate compared to brass, but also reduced the overall weight of the vehicle and provides a stronger and more durable core and tube design
Upper two mounting posts should be 24 3/4″ apart, the same distance as the two mounting points on the radiator support. Please FLUSH the radiator before installation and properly take all the air pockets out. If its not properly installed, might cause the motor to over heat due to low coolant or air pockets in the cooling system.
