Connect a compatible Android phone using the appropriate USB connection to access supported navigation, communication, and entertainment applications.

Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, and other Android Auto-compatible applications can be displayed through the upgraded touchscreen.

Connection clarification: The manufacturer specifically advertises wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. Wireless Android Auto should not be assumed unless confirmed for the exact unit.

Retain Your Audi Q5 Factory Radio and Original Controls

One of the biggest advantages of this Linux touchscreen upgrade is its ability to work alongside the original Audi audio system.

Instead of removing the factory Concert or Symphony radio, the unit is designed to add a modern infotainment interface while retaining supported OEM functions.

Advertised factory integration includes:

• Original Audi Concert / Symphony radio functions

• Factory CD audio system

• Compatible rotary controller operation

• Factory Bluetooth functionality

• Steering-wheel controls

• Original rear-view camera, where equipped and supported

• Compatible parking sensor displays

• Factory radio functionality

Actual retention depends on the vehicle’s original equipment and installation configuration.

Why Factory Audio Integration Matters

Audi factory audio systems can use specialized connections and amplifier configurations that differ from conventional aftermarket stereos.

Replacing factory equipment without understanding the audio signal path can result in missing sound, incorrect speaker operation, or loss of vehicle-specific functions.

For anyone planning additional stereo modifications, understanding the relationship between the head unit, factory amplifier, and speaker wiring is an important part of a successful installation.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming

The Linux touchscreen system supports Bluetooth connectivity for compatible smartphones.

Drivers can access supported hands-free calling, phonebook synchronization, and wireless audio functions through the upgraded infotainment interface.

The manufacturer recommends avoiding simultaneous connections between the smartphone and the original Audi Bluetooth system while using CarPlay.

This helps reduce potential connection conflicts between the factory Bluetooth interface and the new touchscreen.

AHD 1080P Backup Camera Support

The upgraded Audi Q5 touchscreen supports a compatible AHD 1080P rear-view camera input.

AHD camera systems can deliver higher-resolution video than conventional analog CVBS systems when the camera and display hardware support the required format.

The larger screen provides additional viewing space when reversing or parking.

Important: The backup camera is not included with this product. A compatible AHD camera must be purchased separately if your vehicle does not already have a supported camera.

The system also advertises compatibility with supported factory rear-view cameras and parking sensor interfaces.

Upgrade Your Audi Q5 Audio System Without Replacing the Factory Radio

The 10.25-inch Linux touchscreen is primarily an infotainment display upgrade rather than a complete replacement for your vehicle’s original audio amplifier.

This makes it appealing to Audi owners who want modern smartphone connectivity while keeping their factory audio components.

However, if your existing speakers are worn, distorted, or underperforming, adding a new touchscreen alone will not correct those issues.

Owners planning to upgrade factory speakers, add a subwoofer, or install an aftermarket amplifier should first identify the vehicle’s original audio system and available signal connections.

Audi Q5 Linux Touchscreen Installation

Installation involves integrating the new display with the original Concert or Symphony radio system.

Although the product is designed for vehicle-specific installation, owners should verify the supplied wiring harness, screen mounting hardware, and factory connections before disassembling the dashboard.

Recommended Installation Steps

1. Confirm that your Audi Q5 has the original Concert or Symphony radio.

2. Verify that the vehicle does not have the incompatible factory Audi Multimedia / MMI configuration.

3. Inspect the supplied wiring harness and display connections.

4. Disconnect the vehicle battery according to the applicable service procedure.

5. Carefully remove the required factory dashboard trim and display components.

6. Connect the Linux touchscreen interface using the supplied installation instructions.

7. Secure the replacement display and route wiring away from moving components.

8. Test Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, audio playback, steering-wheel controls, and factory radio operation.

9. Verify any supported factory camera and parking sensor functions before reinstalling the trim.

Professional installation is recommended for owners unfamiliar with Audi dashboard electronics and factory infotainment systems.
